Do those super chips on the Internet really work?

I saw another one of those Internet ads for a super chip. I clicked on the site and it said GUARANTEED 30 ADDITIONAL HP. yeah right. I already have the bully dog gt gas programmer and I didn't get the 20 that they claimed it would give me. ok I understand that physical high performance parts are the best way to go. I'm working on my credit and when it's right, I'll be getting the stillen supercharger kit for 7 large. I already have the k&n intakes and magnaflow bullet exhaust. so until I have an extra 7 grand lying around, what can I do to make my 2009 370z m6 touring go faster?

Try turbonators ;)
I think they give you like +50WHP...
More efficient than my VTEC sticker

Nissan has already made all the easy/cheap mods. If you want more than 10-15 more HP, you need to go with a (turbo-)supercharger.

I have no idea what the chip you refer to does but it sounds like snake oil if it's promising 30 HP.

Edit: If I found the right Superchips, it looks like they make some programmers that might allow someone with the proper skills to do some tuning that might give some more HP. But, without knowing what/which superchip you are talking about, it's hard to tell for sure.

hamstermilling 30min a day 5 days a week should net you some nice gains.

I'd advise against that. Cars are just toys and if modding one is a financial strain, it isn't worth doing. There are more important things in life.

My recommendation. You'll save so much on gas, you'll forget all about the go fast stuff....

DIWPWNUSLAZ!

dogdamn i wish people would not use such long acronymZ!

No, they do not work.

Typically their function is to keep the car in open loop warm-up longer. resulting in higher injector duty cycles after warm-up; this may or may not have been useful for earlier model EFI cars, but for ours, definitely not worth it.

Get an Uprev tune or sprintbooster instead.
