Nismo - A good dailiy driver?

Hey guys,
I'm trying to deciebe between a 370Z touring with the sport package or the Nismo. I love the way the Nismo drives but I've read some reviews and people say the Nismo isn't a good daily driver. The roads here in Florida are good so i'm not worried about it. Any thoughts?

Check out the Nismo 370Z section of this forum. Quite a few discussions on this topic. Should help with any questions you may have on daily driving.

I think it's ok, especially since you live in FL. If you feel like you need things like sat nav, leather seats, bluetooth, etc, then get the sport touring. Also if you want to mod the hell out of it, getting a NISMO is a waste of both your money and a (semi) rare car since you'll be swapping most stuff out anyway. But as for the ride... I think it's tolerable as a DD but then again I'm 30, no kids, and my last car was a built Mustang.:p

Forget the Nismo and save the money. Make your new Z your own with better or different upgrades.

If you want look go nismo, you can always swap springs/ struts if to harsh for you.

cnet guy hated the nismo.. to many personal opinions thrown in that interview..

test drive one, see if you like the tight suspension..

And like someone said, If you are going to mod the car with body kits ect ect, then go with the sport or touring.

The roughest ride of 1200 cars he has tested? Bull$hit. Unfortunately I agree with almost everything else he says. Almost 45k for a 5-year old model with some new colored panels...

I think they priced it that way to keep it limited.

Since you live in Florida, I would say you should be fine. I know the roads down there are X1000 better than up here :icon17:. Really it comes down to whether you want all the "luxury" features or not, as a previous member had said. If you don't want leather, bluetooth, bose, etc. then go for it. The 370z has a tight suspension regardless of trim level, it is a sports car so you're going to feel bumps. Granted the Nismo is a little tighter. I wanted all the goodies when I got my 370z (touring with sport package) so getting a Nismo would be a tough choice for me because I absolutely love the exterior.

Summary: If you're considering a 370z for your daily driver, the Nismo will be just fine.
