Navi system compass

Question about the Navi map on my 2012 370Z.

Did a search of the FAQ but found nothing on the Navigation package.

Don't use the navigation system much but I can't seem to find the compass heading on the map. I'm sure I haven't set up the preferences properly. Does anyone know how I can display the compass heading on the navi map? I HAVE installed the 2014 upgrade.

I want to say there isn't one...

bdavis89 01-31-2014 01:18 PM

Never noticed one on mine. I'm sure I would have activated it when I was tinkering with all the settings.

DEpointfive0 01-31-2014 01:21 PM

I think there is a way that is shows your orientation/direction on the map, so you can see which direction you're heading

bdavis89 01-31-2014 01:33 PM

You can see it here. I do have that little compass on mine, but I never use it. Never paid attention to see if it rotates.

is the car turned on?

Walter Blady 01-31-2014 03:11 PM

Yes.

Yes the car is turned on. Should that make a difference?

FPenvy 01-31-2014 03:12 PM

is this seriously a real thread right now?

kenchan 01-31-2014 03:14 PM

bdavis has a tiny compass on the lower right, so there must be a way to turn it on.

diy: read the manual, i guess.

honestly my car has nav and even the gentex compass on the mirror... i never look at it.

DEpointfive0 01-31-2014 03:14 PM

Lol, oh yeah. I have that too, lol
Guess I just NEVER paid attention to it

Why 2?

Those aren't compasses , they are directional arrows,

6MT-Z34 01-31-2014 03:31 PM

I meant two screens? do all stock navi do that? I have to check mine lol

I know everyone has been waiting with bated breath. I can now confirm that the tiny compass on my navi screen DOES in fact rotate based on where you're headed. We can all sleep easier tonight! Go F7CK yourselves San Diego!
