Sure looks like every Essence Concept I have seen. The Z may resemble that but I think this guys is reading WAAAAAY TOOOOO much into what he is seeing.

If you're talking about the long silver one it's the Infiniti Essence Concept from a few years ago. It's probably my favorite sportscar design in recent history. Not that I'd be able to afford it but it is sexy as hell!

Nothing against Nissan in particular, but as soon as a CEO of a major corporation starts whining about "profits weren't quite as good as they would have liked blah blah" , I shut down.

All I can say is, given how out of the blue Toyota's revealing of the FT-1 was, we might as well just stop getting excited until there's something officially presented.

Maybe (just maybe) Nissan really does not know what it wants to do with the Z. Think about the scenario if they had shown a concept at the Detroit show. Would it have been overshadowed by the "Supra" FT-1 and the new Z06? Probably so, unless it was a killer design. After an impromptu conversation with a Nissan exec in Nashville last June my hunch is that they don't know where to take the Z. My vote is go ahead and make the fugly IDX for the low end and give the Z more power and keep it in the $30's and $40's.

Well that is the plan for the IDx. It's going to be a contender against the frs/brz . It's supposed to have a 4 basket with a turbo

If I ever see an IDx in a parking lot I'm gonna take a dump on the hood. To me it looks like a big toilet.

It better blow the FRS out of the water driving/performance wise because it is nowhere near the FRS in terms of looks.

Holy cow, the new z06 is a monster. If it is anywhere close to the current z06 price, it's an amazing deal.

Lol if the c6 z06 can get you in jail for life if you briefly go WOT, the c7 just doesn't make sense anymore, way too much power for the street, supercharged engine for the track? Not sure how efficient that will be compared to the N/A LSx.

I know the 5.0 ain't **** to the c7. But even going wot in 3rd at 60 for 5 seconds I get up to 110. It's fuckin retarded how much power cars have now awadays and how we complain we want more. Lol

Lol I completely agree, take a look at the c7 z06 650torque and over 620hp... it just doesn't make any sense for the street at all.

I mean you can't go wot in the older c6 z06/base safely without either spinning tires or going 3x the speed limit, and yet they add more power and more torque.

I am all for the more horsepower, but at some point you have to say, STOP we've had enough power!!!:driving::driving::happydance:

Just read Andy Palmer stated at the Detroit Auto show that the new Z will have smaller displacement with a turbo along with a nismo version.

I'm thinking no new Z until 2016. q50 coupe in 2015, new Z in 2016, but who knows. I'm not expecting to see any Z reveals this year anyway. After the Tokyo auto show, I am not expecting anything, will just wait until it happens.
