simple, no drunk drivers in ur car
|
Even simpler, just tell your drunk friend/ girlfriend that it is the ejector seat button and if they press it they get shot out the side of the car
|
Someone has asked this question before, please try it and report back. It amazes me that people want to try pushing the button while the car is in motion.

I wanted to know what would happen within the first week of owning the car. I tried it going about 15mph on a straight stretch of private road. Nothing happened. Pushed it a few times repeatedly and the car shut off. Big deal. |
It's in the manual. If you hold it for like 2 seconds, or press it 3 times in a row consecutively it turns off.

Beware of steering lock if the car does shut off!! :P |
One time I had to take a drunk chick back to her apartment. What was supposed to be a 5 minute drive... well. Let's just say I was washing my car out in the cold around 4-5AM. It was my 350Z... lesson learned :P
What I wonder is, how can I switch the engine off to ACC instead of completely off. I hate waiting for my head unit to boot up after turning off the engine and switching to ACC. |

It's no big deal unles your in a middle of a turn and turn your car off so the steering locks.
When I had an older car my stereo would die and it would not start back up again unless I turned the car off and back on. So on long drives down I-5, I didn't feel like stopping the car, so I would turn the car off and then back on while I was rolling down the highway, took like 3 seconds. |

Oh n u can press the on/off button as much as u want while the car is in drive. At least in an automatic. I tried it in my altima as they were the 1st pushbutton start cars in nissans lineup. It does nothing unless u r in park. I wonder if it will shut off in neutral though? I gotta try it. Lol. |
I have pressed it and It does not kill the engine
|
well i cant leave a hot girl drunk alone you have to give them a ride..and the rest you know what happens =P
|
One thing that may make a diff. is the car man or auto? is there ay diff. in what may happen? hhmmmm?
|
Doesn't that cause the passenger seat to deploy the occupant leather restraint system?
It is a standard feature. Actually, I don't think the car turns off since it is not in a parked position. My knee inadvertantly hit the on/off putton on my Vette while driving and fittering with thigh hi hose. Nothing happened to the car and my hose was adjusted. |
