Hit and Run on my nismo..

I just bought the car two months ago. The parking lot has barely any light so I made it all the way to the gym before I see this... I even took a picture the night before. I need to find a shop that can hopefully buff it out in Vegas. Im almost positive it was the lifted truck I parked next to who was taking up the entire parking spot. I never park near anyone, and the one time of course this crap happens.. I think he turned his tire and hit the front bumper because it looks smudged not like paint, but its strange cuz theres damage on the very bottom. The bumper doesn't line up with the fender either and the black undertray is split from the bumper. Right before xmas too....

Jasonle 12-21-2013 10:56 PM

Damn that's sucks man

NissanGuy23 12-21-2013 11:07 PM

Damn, sorry to hear :( Fcking truck drivers...

DEpointfive0 12-21-2013 11:10 PM

Sorry, shít happens, I hope you get it all sorted out though

roy'sz 12-21-2013 11:20 PM

that would be about a g worth of damage there.

fairz 12-21-2013 11:23 PM

I could get that painted for you but Im in Sacramento..Cost would be like ~ 200 if it needs paint and work, if its just needs a buff you'll be lucky

Got_Z 12-21-2013 11:35 PM

Honestly looks like it can be buffed out. Good luck OP

Doesn't the gym have cameras in the lot?

Squall180 12-22-2013 12:31 AM

Man that sucks, I live in Vegas and people here suck a lot and don't have insurance.

James10694 12-22-2013 01:03 AM

Yea hopefully it buffs out that would be great. Thanks guys

James10694 12-22-2013 01:05 AM

No it happened in another parking lot on nellis afb i just didnt notice to till i got to the gym it was so dark. Anybody hear antyhing about caliper collisions in vegas? Have a buddy reccommending it.

Justice97 12-22-2013 08:24 AM

Sorry about the damage. Sometimes people suck.:shakes head:

Never heard of caliper, but Caliber Collision is every where.

The one in San Anotnio gets high marks from what I hear. I should have used them, for the keying I received. Dealers didn't a horrible job, but there is one small spot, and sometimes it irks me when I am waxing.

Don't think what you got will buff out, but I do hope it does.

XiP 12-22-2013 08:33 AM

that sucks... sorry man :(

mab864 12-22-2013 08:58 AM

Sorry about that man. I hate stupid parking people. Hope your claim goes well.

+1

you'd be surprised what some rubbing compound and polish can do

EDIT:
because dealing with a shop to replace and match paint is just as much of a headache

SS_Firehawk 12-22-2013 11:37 AM

I can't make any recommendations, but let me know how they do if they paint. I wouldn't mind repainting my hood and bumper.

Adam.LV 12-22-2013 12:22 PM

Vegas drivers are the worst. My father just had a bunch of scrapes and marks removed from his Camry at Excel Auto Body, they did a pretty good job.

PedroVonSmith 12-22-2013 02:20 PM

I am taking my 370 to caliber after the holidays. I have heard good things. Its also a USAA ''sponsored'' shop. So if they don't do a good job or you have a problem you have USAA who will help you fight the shop. If you have USAA I would advise checking them out. I have heard good things about 6651 customs also. Its right off base on alto and marco. In the hood.....

Crayon 12-22-2013 02:23 PM

Uninsured driver insurance covered mine. My spoiler was cracked by some lifted truck that just drove off after hitting me.

Did you file a police report?

mayday813 12-22-2013 08:37 PM

What's your deductible? I'm guessing the bumper cover will have to be repainted.

zmanelite 12-22-2013 08:42 PM

Sucks balls man , every time i park i go to the farthest emptiest place

kenchan 12-22-2013 09:01 PM

Listen to this...back in the day I had a 260. First few hours i bought it, parked, went to grab a bite with my friend, come back to find the front quarter panel dented, scratched. Two years later i have a gorgeous, red, 280 with T-TOPS, PRISTINE condition. First few hours owning it, grab a bite to eat....SAME thing as before. A few years later I have a 300ZX TT, driving it home from the stealership get blindsided from an 18 wheeler-crushed my front passenger quarter panel. Skip ahaead, have a 350Z, it wasnt first few hours of owning, about a week in, park it waaaaay out in the lot, back in to a nice corner spot. Come back to find a hill billy in his lifted, whatever it was, tow hitch scratched my hood!. F*cker paid for it too...Had my 370 now since June...just waiting, lol.

cooltoy 12-23-2013 10:17 AM

Just because you are paranoid, it does not mean someone is not after you.

Bking 12-23-2013 11:00 AM

Sucks. Can you claim your insurance under hit and run and pay a small deductible to fix it?

EVERY car I have owned I have locked the keys in it within 2 months of ownership. Now with the Intelligent key I am forcing the universe to not do what it does to me. I wonder where that force will go to!

Zensation 12-23-2013 11:51 AM

Man that sucks dude! I know the feeling the weekend after i got my base model 370 some trucks hitch left a huge dent and scrape in my license plate bay on the rear bumper. Hit and run as well and i was at college still so it was more than likely a drunk driver.

MacLean 12-23-2013 12:43 PM

Ouch..... That EFFEN blows man and I'm sorry that happen to you. That SOB & MOTHA FCUKER needs to get their arse beat.

I dont often condone violence but i would make an exception for this crap. The good news is that thiskinda damage even if it needs repaint is usually well under the deductable of an insurance claim. A good body shop can spot paint instead of painting the whole bumper cover and yould never know the difference. Good luck with all that.
