I've always thought the 350Z sounded like it had a head cold or was weazing.

Of course I drove a VR6 at that time. 2 pence!

If you want a Z that only 'feels' fast, get a roadster. The way the coupe masks speed is a tribute to its higspeed handling. Being able to use WOT more often is also a compliment to design. While more power is almost always welcome, ability to stay at WOT suggests a car that is willing and able to be driven near or at its limit. Kudos to the Z engineers.

Agreed. You have to be a very poor driver to upset the 370. The Z rewards you when you are smooth. Nissan definitely hit one out of the park.

I own an 05 350 touring coupe and an 09 370z touring coupe. After driving the 370 for a week, I took my 350 to work today. It feels like a toy compared to the 370. There is simply no comparison. The 370z is a quantum leap improvement over the 350 IMO.

Serge - US highways and drivers are very unlike what you'd find in Germany. Given the social immaturity of most Americans, an environment like the Autobahn would never work here.

Have I ever driven recklessly? Yes. Have I done stupid things? Yes, plenty of them over the years. I was just lucky enough to not get wrecked, arrested, or ticketed in the process. And yes, from time to time I still drive recklessly in the eyes of the law.

We all should have some self indication of common sense though. 100+mph on an empty road with plenty of sight distance and 100+mph blowing by traffic are both legally reckless. Some would say the former is dumb and dangerous and thats fine - I and probably most other people on this forum would disagree. The problem is that not everyone agrees that the latter is just plain stupid.

So Ginga, what I really meant was...please be careful. 5th gear all the way bro, if it works for you.

Hey SManZ I didn't have a problem with your post. You expressed how you felt at the time, which is exactly what forums are for. I'm not the least bit sensitive and if you are you probably don't belong here. When someone is bashing me no one is laughing more than I am. The Z is amazing and no one knows that more than fellow Z owners. You may not like the content of my post, but I hope you guys can appreciate the love and respect I have for sports cars. I enjoy talking about cars with other guys that love cars. Do you have a sports car so ppl can look at it and say "wow that's sweet. How much you pay? Is it fast?", or to drive and enjoy it? I make no apologizes for being a true enthusiast. Let the bashing commence LOL. Thx guys!!!
And don't worry, I'm not as reckless as you think.
