How to convince the wife/significant other that you NEED a 370z

Ok, if I were single, then the decision to buy this beautiful machine would be a heck of alot easier. But I'm not, so I've had to come up with a few reasons that justify buying a 2 door, 2 seater over a... SUV. She's not fully convinced, but I think I'm doing pretty good. Here's what I've got so far:

1. I'll let you sit on the hood, and take pics of you. You can post that on your Facebook and it'll REALLY make your friends jealous.

2. My old car is about to die, so I'll need a new car to go to work. What - YOU wanna get up at 6am and take me to work?? Didnt think so.

3. We don't need 5 seats, our kid can ride up front with me, I'll just tint the windows and drive really slow.

4. It'll give me something to do while your watching soap operas, so I wont bother you.

5. Because its a really small car - the insurance will be alot cheaper, and the cops radar gun won't pick it up (Bullsh!t)

6. We NEED 330+ HP because, other people can't drive and if I don't have the power to merge quickly or change lanes quickly, I'll crash. And die. Then what will you do??

7. I've wanted a Z since I was 2 years old. And I've been working so hard since then (shed a tear) I think its time I rewarded myself. (more bs)

I think I'll need a bit more. What have you guys tried???

^^ damn, if she knows it already.......that sucks

just distract her with a necklace or something

The problem for me is that me and my wife currently both have 2 door coupes. We want something bigger but i want a 370z lol. My plan is to convince her to get rid of her car and get a Cross over type vehicle (vw Tiguan perhaps). That way, we'll have one big car and i can get away with a 2 seater. It's just me and her anyways so why do we need the extra space?

YOU shut your dirty whore mouth :gtfo2:

lol.no kids. Hopefully not for a long time

^^ just tell her it's the most economical car that has power.....tell her you dont need extra seats or a big trunk, that's just extra space for nothing

smashingpimp 12-19-2008 12:00 PM

That's work except 1) She could care less about cars and doesn't think they need to be fast or look nice.
and 2) I already have a small economical car with lots of power lol.
I'm going to stick to the asking forgivness instead of permission idea i think. I've used it before and it worked then lol

^^Hahaha... Put the foot down... until she tells you to pick it up!! My fiance is the same way...

nogoodname 12-19-2008 12:05 PM

true that, stick to the original plan .....when you start altering it...it just goes bad

smashingpimp 12-19-2008 12:07 PM

lol ok. I got some time. My lease still isn't up until next year.
Is there anyway to get out of a lease when your near the end of its term?

nogoodname 12-19-2008 12:08 PM

^^ I would not lease swap it b/c i heard that your name is still on the car...so if the new owner doesnt pay up....they come after you....you are reliable

Me, "Wow, that 370Z is a pretty sweet car! I want it!"
My wife, "Go for it!"

Done

LOL! That does not work on my wifey. She is pretty simple. I told her I would get her Lasik; that should do it....

If not, I will tell her I will take the family on some cool trip and that will do it for sure!!

In the end, she knows what's up.
