Camaro website with a 370Z review

First of all, what the hell is this interior? Or who's is it?

For some reason I'm thinking that might be the interior out of the crowd-sourced Z that Nissan did a year or two ago.

0-60 in 5.1? Hummm that doesn't seem correct to me but then again its just a number.

I feel like I've read that review from somewhere else???

Maybe? I hope it's not a repost

I am really digging the Recaro Sportster Seats. Can Anyone who has the same seats chime in if they are comfortable for DD or long rides?

white_wolf 12-07-2013 12:32 PM

That's the custom interior for the Project Z car. The seats are recaros.

I test drove the last generation maro before getting the Z, plenty of torque. The Z however is nimble as ever. :driving:

The interior shots are definitely "Project 370Z" that was unveiled at ZDayZ 2012. Nissan/NISMO brought it back for ZDayZ 2013 along with a Juke-R.

I didn't get any interior shots but here is a shot I got of the Project 370Z next to the Juke-R at Deal's Gap, NC during ZDayZ 2013.

I have more pics of the Juke-R here; My Z with the Juke-R and Project 370Z if any one is interested.

That number is correct. This car can do 0-60 in little over 5 seconds.

Why you think it's not correct?

Ive read this before a few months ago. Was confused too.

I sat in the seat (not in the crowd source Z) once before, they are nice, not sure on DD.
I do know those seats are very common in many OEM cars, some are modified with higher backs depending on the car but overall it is the same seat.

Oh, I dunno, maybe these?

Car & Driver: 4.9 sec (Nov. '08 )
Car & Driver: 4.6 sec (7AT, Apr. '09)
Car & Driver: 4.9 sec (Apr. '09)
Motor Trend: 4.7 sec (Nov. '08 )
Motor Trend: 4.9 sec (Apr. '11)
Motor Trend: 4.8 sec (Aug. '12)

That's not to say that all tests resulted in sub-5 second runs; the auto rags that are usually slower (Edmunds, Autoweek) posted around 5.1 sec times. Still, choosing the slowest of these is a bit disingenuous.

Averaging these times above along with a few others (sans the 4.6 sec 7AT) results in a composite of 4.9 seconds.

I was going to just state the same thing in regards to that post by Husbarn. There are multiple sources out there which show much quicker times. I think that this review was not as accurate as what has been done by other sources. At the slowest average, with AT, 370z attains 0-60 in under 5 seconds.

That number is accurate. Actually it is posted that that time is for 0-100 km/h, which is equal to 0-62 mph, but in that review they just posted 0-100 km/h or ~0-60 mph (time was meant for 0-100 km/h). This car maybe can accelerate in less than 5 seconds for 0-60 mph, but 0-62 mph takes more time.

Go again to that review and you'll see :)
