Dealer asking ME what comes with mudflaps
I opted for the mudflaps so my baby went to the dealer at lunch. They call back and ask me if this was only two flaps and not four. I say I don't know, whatever comes with the set as on the website. They call back and say it i a set of two on the front tires then ask if I want the rear done too. I say whatever comes in the set. Now I'm worried.
What should I be getting if I got the car from the factory with the mudflaps? I know they are not MUD FLAPS per se but you know what I mean. I want the same color as the car rock thrower upper protector. |
4 splash guards
|
i think they sell the front and rear as independent pairs. but yah, should get 4pcs if you requested all 4.
|
ask your dealer to step away from the car.
if they're not body color, they are not what you want, but i wouldnt let them put anything on the car until you see it now that they are questioning there own product |
:iagree: There are two part numbers … one for the front set and one for the rear set. Check the Nissan on-line accessories site.
|
They want $180 to put on one set and another $120 for the rear.
|
The dealer charged me a total of $60 to install both sets.

I paid $76 for a preprinted set from the factory for my Maxima and 50 CENTS to install them. I bought the installer a coke |

Have you put any of this HERE?

My dealer threw them in as a "thank you" when I bought the car. Must cost him bopkas!
|
The MSRP is $225. We agreed on that. Everyone is happy.
|
Hmmm … perhaps you shouldn't be so happy. The Nissan Accessories E-store lists the price of the front set of splash guards as $66 and the price of the rear set as $66 for a total of $132. You can simply order them on line … and they will be delivered to any dealership of your choice …and you can simply go and pick them up.
Unless of course the $225 includes installation … which isn't a great deal, but better than the $300 that was originally quoted for the installation alone. |
Four flaps plus install for $225 works for me. Also of there are any issues I can go back, if I screw it up myself I am outa luck. I do computers, not cars, so I won't even begin to do any maintenance myself other than shaking out the rugs.
Online price I see is $93 front and $93 rear MSRP, $83.70 from the dealer. |
Good luck with the install. I'm happy with mine!
