Yakima Bike Racks?
Doing research on here to find out what will work. I have read about a lot of issues with a number of options that just don't seem to cut it on the Z.
On the Yakima website it says the Z can use the "King Joe", "King Joe Pro", and the "Quick Back". But in all my research on this site I haven't seen anyone mention using any of these. Is anyone using any of those three racks on their Z? I would love to do the hitch idea, it is a shame it is only a custom job and requires cutting into the bumper. |
You can use the fog light butthole or get a folding bike http://http://imageshack.us/a/img845/1865/5lcx.jpg

maybe instead of having 2 useless cars, get a hatch or suv or something as 3rd? :icon17:

As an alternative (not hitch), I have the SeaSucker Talon. Been using it for 2 years without any issues. Check their website...Talon | SeaSucker.
My review from a thread on this forum: http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...ml#post1787851 |
"IF" I were to carry bikes on the Z I would do the trailer hitch mod in the DIY section and use a Thule 910XTR. Possibly a Seasucker if I could see and test one first.
I'm about as particular about my bikes as I am my Z. To be honest, some of my bicycles are aproaching similar cost as my Z between the bike and mods. So I'm a little more particular. I don't want any rack that clamps my frame in any way, and I don't go with any rack that is substandard on quality. I've got a lot invested in my bikes and vehicles to go cheap on them. |
I'm using a SeaSucker too. I'm happy with it.
