Anyways, i just gotta move forward. Will insurance cover this? The front bumper, side skirt, and front fender are all pretty messed up. I don't see any other problems, but i'm getting the car inspected tomorrow. Does anyone know if insurance will pay for the whole car to be repainted?

This makes me sick to my stomach. I hope everything works out in the repairs. If it were me, I'd be having a major spazz all over anyone who touched my car and may have caused this.

(my emphasis)

Are modern wheels that much different than back in The Good Ole Days? I had the lug nuts come loose on an old ('60s) Mustang (I snugged up the lug nuts before letting the car down and forget to torque them on one wheel) and the whole car vibrated after they backed off only 1/4" (maybe less). There was no doubt that something was very wrong long before it got to the point where the wheel would have fallen off.
