the polished aluminum wheels arrived at the dealership today. but the new 19" Hankook Ventus tires, for some reason or other, are coming to Indiana from Nevada? they are due in wednesday.

so, thursday after work, me and my 91 year old dad are driving the 35 minutes to the Nissan dealership in Vincennes to pick up the 370Z. the reason my dear old dad is coming along is because he was in the 101st Airborne during WWII and there is a salesman at the dealership whose dad was also in the 101st Airborne in WWII.

i hope they dont get to talking about WWII stuff, and my dear old dad doesnt want to leave, and i cant drive my new 370Z home......:eekdance:

...well the last guy that drove my car (I bought his 240Z so it only seemed fair) thought it was more like a fighter jet cockpit than anything so maybe you can coax your dad out for a sortie in the 370Z wingless jet ;P

You should start a new thread in OT about that. I find that to be kind of cool.

all set to go for tomorrow (thursday) night. unless the dealer tells me that the tires didnt come in. they are coming from Nevada, have no idea why? anybody got any clue why some Hankook Ventus Evo tires would have to come from Nevada to a dealer in Indiana?

anyway, fingers are crossed that the tracking info is correct, and they show up tomorrow in time to be installed. the dealer told me to be there at 4:30.

got it home tonight, all i can say is wowsa! that is suh-WEET!

love the interior, love the polished aluminum wheels, luv the much improved stereo. even my 91 year old dad thought it was very sharp. already got a couple of compliments on it. one from a guy at KFC, and one from the gal working at the gas station by the dealership when we filled it up.

NOT..

I only write this in resentment because i wont get a Z till i graduate from college...

You are lucky to get a Z upon graduation.

I graduated in December, and I have to wait until April - May of next year to make the down payment that I'm targeting!

Just passed the 1,200 mile break-in point last night! time to see what this baby can do. might head to the casino over at French Lick tonight after supper. those roads are windy and curvy, could be an interesting drive.
