tire setup

I just picked up a 2011 base, gun metal. I love it and wanted one for a while.

I am a daily driver in the Santa Cruz mountains of California, 60 miles RT each day. The car has some nice polished TSW's (18x9.5 and 18x8). I going to keep the 18's because everything I read says so. If I was just poking around city streets maybe I would go up, but sine they were on it I'll roll with it for a while.

I am thinking 275/35/18 rear tire with 20mm spacer and 245/40/18 with 15mm spacer in front. Looking for ya'alls input. The roads I drive to and from work are twisty. 2000' feet elevation up down.

Currently running Michelins pilot sport AS plus 255/45/18 and 235/45/18.

Everything i have read says they good tires and they feel pretty good as well.

Seconds question is I have some rear camber that seems like something was dropped, or is just the tires.

Thanks much
Gary

S4's

I like my S4's. What's with everyone putting spacers on? What does it do?

Spacers push the wheels out to achieve a more flush look. If you look at any of the modern high-end sports cars they all have a really flush look for the wheels.

@nmjaxx9

You think 305's will fit on the back? and 275's on the front? I didn't 18x9.5 and 18x8 would take that?

I don't think 305 will fit on a 9.5. I've got 285's on my fronts and they're 9.5 and that's pretty close to the limit of what I'd go with on a 9.5

If you look up whatever tire you are looking to get on tirerack, it will usually list the acceptable rim sizes.

According to tirerack for your 8" and 9.5" you're probably looking around 245 and 285 for their recommended sizes max on the same type of tires you have on there now.

yah, wat are the widths of those 18's? get wider wheels first if you're going excessively wider tires.

your car's going to feel like mush..

Think i will go 275/40 and 245/40 respectively. Will have the spacers here tomorrow.

Thanks

I put 20mm spaces on rear and 15mm front.
