How is the HVAC System in New Z ?

One of the things that makes me crazy about my Infiniti G35 Coupe is it has one the worst ventilation systems of any car I've owned. If the outside temp is 60 degrees and I just want to have the vents on for example, the air coming out them is much warmer. I believe the problem stems from the air intake being located near the engine so there is no way to get a nice cool fresh air flow through. I end up running the A/C almost year round to keep from suffocating. There is no recirculation mode without having the A/C on either. Can anyone comment regarding the function and design of the HVAC in the new 370Z ? Thanks

Agreed - sucks in hotter than outside air so I'm usually just rolling down the windows or running A/C. The issue is that you can not recirculate the air in the cabin without using A/C otherwise you could have the windows down and blow the air from outside around including to your feet where it tends to get hot....

Ditto...

Same problem here. Very frustrating, especially on cool nights.

Out of all my cars Ive owned the AC is the best, havent needed the heater yet (desert)

The A/C is amazing.. its far better then any car ive ever had.. As far as the outside, in every car ive ever owned its always blown hot, except when its below 40deg.

A/C is fantastic but when you want to run without A/C the air intake is hot and you can not recirculate the air in the vehicle without the A/C on. If you want to run with the A/C off your only option is to pull hot air from the engine bay into the vehicle (eg no recirculation). Weak....

It's as I suspected then, the same design as the Infinitis use. I've had my drivers license since 1971 and every car I've owned up to the G35 had a way to get outside air temp. air in through the vents which was plenty comfortable when the A/C was not required. Same with having a recirculation feature. There have been times when I'm behind a smoke belching diesel truck and want to cut off the fumes intake for a few minutes and hitting the recirc. button turns on the A/C. Like that's necessary when it's 40 degrees outside. Oh well, I'll live with it as I have with my G35.

The AC in my GM cars has been better. If there is one thing GM gets right, it's making cold ass air

I LOVE the AC...I go from hot to hard nipples in like 45 seconds.
