2010 370z coupe

After a few months of reading and and deciding which z is right for me, i stared calling dealerships for a few msrps and figure out what is in stock. So far i've spoken to five dealers and none have been able to give me any info on the 2010 coupe. They've been all trying to get me to the dealership to test drive an 2009, which i've already done, but each one tells me a diffent story as to when they will arrive, what will the princing be like, what will be the major differences from the 2009, etc. :shakes head:

I know some of you guys have placed orders recently, is there any way i could get some advice on how to obtain this 2010 info? All i want is a price on a 2010 MB touring with sports package, navi, and the diffrences if any from 2009.

I don't mind getting the 09, specially because i can be driving one by this weekend, but since i've waited till now, i could certaintly wait another 2 to 3 months, but not 4. :excited:

Well there is some info on the site about it. Look up Ak's post about nissan 2010 changes it covers all the cars including the Z. I can tell you from reading the post that the only differences are. Micro-Cabin Filter which we are still trying to determine if 09 has one or not I remember reading it does, I have to get in the manual again and look. Heated mirrors which you can probably add to a 09 and Enhanced navigation with bluetooth streaming and ipod connectivity is changed to usb connectivity which leaves a possibility that you could hook up your own external drive with music on it. Everything else is the same oh and Yellow is dropped for the Dark cherry color that is on the convertible.

i read that post, it sounds pretty official, so that leaves me with two more questions, when will they start arriving and how will the pricing look.

thanks for the help

Asheth 08-10-2009 03:17 PM

Hmm that i don't know one person threw out sametime as the 09's being january time frame. But look up Fusz he is a official dealer he can maybe help you but last i read he said there is no info on pricing yet. My guess would be they might dip in to the 30k area for base. But the 09's are $50 away from 30k anyway lol. May want to look at how pricing went up between years for the 350z and maybe have an idea.

INSURANCE101 08-10-2009 03:31 PM

ok, so the pricing doesn't seem like its going to be a problem, its more the arrival date, that is still a mistery. thanks again Asheth.

i finaly got a call back today and thats what i was told, but not pricing or changes... my main concer is any mechanical upgrades, but the 2009 is such a great car that im just about getting over waiting for the 2010. Lets see what happens until the end of september, hopefully we'll hear something. :tiphat:

theDreamer 08-10-2009 08:33 PM

By the sounds of the updates posted by AK and others, it seems more cosmetic changes in 2010.

INSURANCE101 08-10-2009 08:40 PM

Right, but theres always some sort of last minute marketing strategy companies like to pull out. Im gonna start faxing out that offer sheet, starting working those invoices down.

FuszNissan 08-10-2009 08:50 PM

2010's will probably start to show up in dealerships around Dec/Jan (that is my guess) I haven't even seen a Roadster allocation yet and Nissan is a month ahead in the production. So september will roll around and that will be the October production then add 2-3 months to get here and that is when you will see 2010's. There really isn't anything out yet on the coupes. Hopefully we will see something next month.

Thanks Fusz, hopefully next month. These dealerships here in florida should take notes from you. They got me all confused and ****.

I was told a fully loaded 2010 Tour/Sport/Nav model the special persimmon interior color woudl list out at 45K, thats 3K more that 2009. The base model will be the same.

If you are interested, I am selling my 2009

2009 Nissan 370Z Touring Coup/Sport/Automatic (Rare Find)

and you can save 4K from what I paid as I am stepping up to a Porshe as I like 500HP

Let me know as the local dealer already offered my $36,500 cash but I think 38500 is fair

Where did you hear about the extra $3000 for the persimmon interior? This is false information. Please do not make false hype just to sell your car. Thx

John Bradley 09-16-2009 10:25 AM

Correct me if I'm wrong.. but isn't 36500.00 almost dealer invoice on that car??
Why would a dealer make an offer like that.. I would think in lower 30's at best is
trade in value ?? 36500.00 CASH !! Why do you still owe it would be my question

Your dealership is offering u a great price. Most dealerships are selling used fully blown Z's between 33,900 and 36k USED, so ur dealer is offering u retail. Lucky break... I can deal your car brand new for 38.500 with no1 handling it. You probably bought it while it was still upmarketed? Many dealerships are now selling the last 700 available Z's 500 under invoice.
If ur dealer offered u 36,500. Jump on it! It won't be worth 39k in the private sector.
No offense. I'm sure ur car is mint.
But that's too much for used. Depreciation is a mugg!

500 hp puts you in the Turbo and GT2 range. I hope that trade has lots of Ben Franklin's relatives stashed away. BTW it's Porsche.

I was wondering about the same thing! I went to the Nissan about a day or two ago and the dealer said it should be released in mid-November. He didn't seem like he knew the answer either but I don't mind waiting. I am hoping they will fix some things in the 2010 version.

By the way, I have read that there's a problem with the oil overheating or whatnot.. is that true?

For daily driving, don't even worry about it. However for track use, you'll need an oil cooler.

How is the paint durability compared to the 350Z? If it is worse then Nissan should probably consider beefing up the quality of the paint for the 2010 370Z.

And not too long ago, Toyota is investing in scratch proof paint for their vehicles. If Infinite is already doing it, then it just puzzles me why they would not include the secret skin protector for the 370Z. :(

A slight hp increase would be awesome as well.

loslalane 10-21-2009 11:25 PM

Hey I can tell you the differences between that 2010 and 2009 with all the stuff you want on it..I live in Florida too and I know where there is a Brand New 2009 Nismo Z44 09 0435 370z Pearl White. 6 miles as of today they just dropped it off the truck from Jacksonville and straight from JAPAN. This car is something else. $40,250MSRP for this NISMO TRACK Z
