Excellent advice. I'm taking my 2011 to the track on Wed for the first time so what oil temp do I have to watch out for? 280+? And if it does go into limp mode, I just let it cool down and it'll be fine?

My goal was to not hit 300F. Two, 3-lap sessions were about all she could handle in the Texas sun. Hopefully in October it's a little cooler so overheating isn't as much of a problem. If you hit limp mode, yes, just let it cool down and everything should be fine.

Those nissan owned Z's get beat on though as they are constantly hot lapped the whole day. besides its not a full out track day its lead follow and there the pace is measured

MC, would there be any chance that the launch control could be tested on the GTR?:stirthepot:

maybe.. there should be a module where you perform like a 0-60-0 ABS braking test then a slalom In either a Z or a GTR They mention not to use launch control ( reason being is after 4 times it locks it out for a 1.5 mile cool down) but I mean you could probably sneak one in its not like they are "strict" about it.
