oh ya and JC is a dink. his show is for ratings and that is that. I have no doubt he might have some really good views on cars when he comes out of scripted mode.

RCZ 08-03-2009 03:22 PM

no doubt do I enjoy watching the show, but sometimes I don't agree with the things he says. He has gotten progressively more biased over the years. If I want to be entertained, I'll watch topgear, if I want a real review, I'll watch 5th Gear with Tiff.

if the same exact 370z was made in england...it would be rated seriously cool. i love topgear, but i definitely know of the bias

i think you hit the nail on the head right with that.

I am English so I guess maybe it is me who is biased.

Still looking for an answer to my original question:

Is the 370Z motor at high revs Cool or Uncool?

:)

i will answer you honestly, it doesnt affect me as cool or uncool.

I really dont know if to feel positive or negative. Since i dont think its disrupting its handling and it kind of lets me know when to shift i am so far okay with it.

I do know friend behind me thought the sound of my car as i shifted through gears to get away from her tail gating the coolest thing she ever heard.

Top Gear is great entertainment. But entertainment is ALL it is. Its full of bias. If its made in England, that's +50 bonus points right there. American? Immediate failure, no matter how good it is. Japanese is in the middle of the road. If its made by the krauts, well....

They must cry rivers every time their Aston's get thumped on by a lesser-powered, lighter Porsche.

I think what they are talking about, is valve train thrashing noise. The exhaust noise is one of the most wonderful things you can get that doesn't end in "orshe" and "errari" (or cost as much for that matter).

Hammond loves it.
Top Gear Australia love it.
Fifth gear love it.
Clarckson couldn hardly say a bad thing about it around the track, but his pride made sure he rated the Z4 above it.

The Cool wall is no big deal, it's just one mans opinion

Clarkston actually said he'd be happy with either at the end of the previous show. He's just trying to get bitchy email to make fun of!

Whow ! What a selection. The Cosworth was a beast. The Alpha was a fantastic vehicle as well. Lamborghini and Ferrari, well, enough said.
