If your daily driver needs to sit three and you bought a two seater, then the entire statement is a Non starter.

Straw man argument:

Anyone can change the scenario. If you buy the Accord and then decide you need to drive six clients around, add in a few feet of snow and you still have a lousey DD. Should have bought the bus. Certainly 4WD.

I have had a two seat Z car for over 30 years as my DD and never hit snow, nor multiple unexpected clients needing a ride. We have taxi service in our area.

I am far more concerned with the possibility of the road opening up and finding myself alone with some curves, and not having my Z, then worrying about work.

Everyone is different though, as you said b15.

Agree. For me, a FWD sedan fits the bill nicely when I needed to take clients out and for inclement weather. Here in the Chicagoland area, unless you're a farmer....you don't need to worry about ANY roads opening up.

Granted now I travel all the time so leaving the Z as a weekend car works out perfectly.

Why? I rented one for a week and liked it. I loved the gas milage. If I didn't have a company vehicle I would consider one for a DD.

Good for you. How does that work for you when you have to entertain and take out clients? they just sit in your lap? How about going through a couple inches of snow to get to the office?

I'm a machinist. Clients come to my shop, and snow is why I moved to Florida.

Rank #1 as the Best Cheap Small Vehicle.

I commute 120 miles round trip each day, That is like $10 per day on gas when I use it.

BTW is my daughter's car.

I drove 50 miles today, was able to charge it at work for free. I think I saved about $9 toward my $235 car payment. I am not asking for the car to pay for the entire thing, I just want it to offset about $135 in gas.

Car drives like poop, it is not the quietest nor is comfortable. Yet it is still easier to get to and from work for me
