sts turbo? Should I buy a car with it already?
 

Anyone know much info on the sts turbo? Im looking at a 370z that it was added to. 125 hp its supposed to add is what I read from the website. Any guess how much more torque?

I wouldn't put an STS turbo on my car if you gave me the kit for free and paid for the install. It is a hilariously flawed design.

I personally would not buy a car with an aftermarket turbo on it anyways unless it was made factory that way. Due to who knows how it was installed, any tuning issues, over heating issues and abuse that the motor has gone through.

Never buy someone else's project.

but then how would know if previous owner had a turbo kit on it beat the motor to hell turn it back to stock and sell the car????

Well anything could of happened to a used car(inside or out). That is just the name of the game. I would to be concerned spending 20k+ on a used vehicle, now a beater is a different story.

The car has an amuse body kit as well as the sts turbo.

You should really buy a stock one and put the FI kit on yourself. That way you know it's done right.

I think its up to you really. car is only worth as much as the buyer willing to pay. i agree with chuck and 1st though. i would rather buy a stock then mod it myself so i know exactly whats been done to the car and do it the right way

EagleTime if your wanting a Z she is out there for you. But don’t buy out of impulse BIG MISTAKE. Take your time. There are plenty out there that are seeking a home and being produced. This car is supposed to last you and not give you headaches and out of pocket expenses for repairs.

Part of the fun is modding... This is like buying a used game + all the saves(I don't know how many of you will know what I mean)

Except the game won't blow up because the previous owner did something wrong. ;)

There's always exceptions, but the vast majority of the time it holds true. Would you buy a used FI Z?

well i agree about the STS turbo kit, but the amuse kit looks pretty dope, but different strokes for different folks i guess

buy a stock 370z and add FI this way you know what is done to the car, i know a guy who bought a modded EVO(yes not the exact same but the principal is the same) that ended up being half assed and the motor ended up blowing

But in all seriousness OP. If you spend the extra time finding a Z that is bone stock and is what your looking for you will be eternally satisfied and more so than if you bought this said Z.

I have the STS kit on my car and we made 515rwhp with it, in my opinion its not a bad kit at all, especially if its gonna be your daily driver but as mentioned above I wouldn't buy someone else's project
