Well it looks like we have it now, but I didn't add it because just when you think your out of the woods

Correct. Same tank 09-13.

I've never had an issue and in no way do I baby the Z

luigi90210 07-23-2013 09:07 PM

i only think track guys/gals will experience this, no one who just streets their car should be experiencing fuel starvation unless you are breaking a bunch of laws

hit it once on a cloverleaf onramp. was probably doing 40-50 on the ramp with about 1/2 tank of gas. luckily no one was behind me. was able to pull off, restart it and get it to go.

at first i thought the clutch went out. car would not move with gas. pretty frightening

Yeah, but they could have changed the way the fuel is picked up. There is a $1000 fix mentioned around here that changes the pump & pick up while utilizing the same tank. Like I mentioned, sometimes manufactures will discover something & change it later down the production line without making any noise about it. Oil cooler, steering lock both come to mind ;). Other manufactures do this as well without issuing a recall.

I drove low fuel all the time. Put the new LSD in and borrowed a friends set of RS3's and first hard corner which was on on ramp to the highway and sure enough I hit fuel cut. Had 5 dots left. Was sad but super excited all at the same time lol. Put 2 gallons in it from the gas station and fired right up.

Also not sure if happy or sad that I'm the only 2012 so far to hit fuel starve lol.

Remember this can happen to you.

Before some of you guys brag about how fast you drive, you might want to list the tires you run on too. Driving fast on Hankook V12 is not the same as driving fast on RS3....

Well its good to know there was no change. Now 09-12 owners can bitch to nissan for a damn fix.

This poll is only for people that drive aggressive or track their car.
I have this issue but I track the car and hard right turns are notorious for this.

Thats why you should always have 3/4 tank or more if your going to track or drive aggressive. You can address the issue with a few aftermarket devices.

scionide 07-24-2013 01:45 AM

never had it happen on the street, even down to 2-3 dots but, on the track half a tank and it happened, but it let me redline 2nd and almost redline 3rd before it did it..

:iagree:I drive aggressive......all the time. I swing corners as much as I can. On the Bridgestone RE760's I have yet to hit fuel starvation even though with the same style driving on the RS3's it happened on my first hard right hander and yes, I've tested the same corner MULTIPLE times on the RE760's. Tires give you the ability to hit fuel starvation!

That could be true. Also, less 12's and 13's sold, so that could be a reason for lower numbers as well.
