Look what happened this morning!

So today I hit 50,000 km. I just happened to look down at the exact moment. I must say, I'm still enjoying the car just as much as the day I drove it off the lot. Maybe even more now due to my mods. I hope that all you other folks feel the same happiness. You all deserve it! :tiphat:

Not what I expected with the thread title.

Pleasantly surprised. :icon17:

:iagree:

I was expecting bricks....

JARblue 07-23-2013 09:24 AM

that or milk crates :ugh2:

Glad to see someone else still enjoying their Z after 30K+ miles  :driving:

I figured I had to make the thread title eye-catching for people to read it LOL

I feel the same way at 26k...love it more today then the day I bought with 3 miles...

Ditto. Just crossed over 20K (..sniff..) but oh so much fun (originally and with the mods afterwards). I gave up on trying to drive her "easy", more like "Nicely Aggressive" instead. After a few days of not driving her, I get Z-Withdrawals... We should start a Z-Annon Group... (oh wait, this website is it...!!!) :wtf2:

Hi Brutal 370Z, congratulations on your 50K milestone! Have you had any issues at all with the CSC? Honestly if I had known about the CSC before I bought (my fault) I probably would have sacrificed and gotten an AT7.

I love my Z, just wish I could drive it like I want to. Call me a worry wart but I drive around all the time conserving clutch cycles, shifting gently, constantly refreshing the Clutch Fluid every time it gets dark in the reservoir, trying to stay below 4K rpm, etc.

Just wish I could enjoy this beautiful car instead of the nagging feeling of the "waiting for the other shoe to drop" and the clutch CSC goes belly up. Of course I'm only at 14.4K miles so its probably gonna be a while but nonetheless its a constant nag.

I know I'm paranoid. I'm not a 20 something daredevil that's challenging the clutch to fail...:) It's not like I can't lift it up, yank the tranny and change the CSC but WHEN will it give out, what time of night etc....guess I should follow my own advice and just change it now on my terms instead of the failure sneaking up on me.

From reading the forum I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way - maybe a small minority but since I've been following this forum I see CSC hitting folks chronically. Nothing I can do about it but now I'm ending this rant.

Can't say I've had any major problems thusfar. Certainly not with the CSC

Csc, Oil temp, Fuel starve, Steering Lock. F it all. Enjoy your car! Not all Z’s are meant to break down. Nissan did not make these cars to break on a constant basis. I’m pretty sure there are a lot of Z’s in the mile high club with no issues.

:iagree:

CSC - I will worry about it when fails or starts to fail - full clutch replacement
Oil Temp - I don't worry about them, but I am very aware and monitor them in the Texas heat - only time I ever had to alter my driving was at the track and after 2.5 years, I have finally decided to buy an oil cooler
Fuel Starve - I don't worry about this at all though I am aware - I drive my car until empty (<2 dots) and I have yet to encounter a problem after 35K+ miles
Steering Lock - I don't worry about it after I removed the fuse

Careful with mine, too. She appreciates it by still looking and driving showroom new at 3.5 years and 12,000 miles. Expect to make her last for at least 15 years and 100,000 miles.
