Long story short, as a Captain in the Army, I went to the career course.
They asked what mattered more for my next assignment: Location or Position?
I chose position, and said I am flexible with where they send me (which I truly am).
And now....I am here in the Great Northern Plains!

i have to disagree being only 29 and listening to all the oldies that my mom played on the radio whenever we were in the car, i tend to lean more towards the beatles most of the time though rather than chuck berry :D

oh and remember, good music doesn't die, it just becomes classic

I'm usually rocking an assortment of classic rock whether it be radio or mixed CD's. I'll turn it up a bit on the highway but I am considerate of others and turn it way down in residential areas or where people are walking and close enough to hear it. Guess I should be in an 80's Grand National or Camaro. :roflpuke2: :happydance:

Ok I'll post. Lol
Me and a buddy of mine were in my car driving back from the gym, and the teenage girl song comes up. The song was pretty catchy back then so I knew a few pieces of the song and started singing it for the hell of it to embarrass my friend. So as we pull up to a red light, a convertible mustang with 4 girls (4 very hot girls) pulls up right next to the passenger side and the look on their face when they saw me jamming out to Katy perry was priceless lol. If you can imagine it, the girls got stuck staring at us, my friend kept looking back and forth at me and then the girls (like a WTF cut it out already face) and I was minding my own business singing away like If I was at a concert or something with the volume close to full blast. Haha. My friend was pretty pissed off about it afterwards, and I had me a good laugh embarrassing the hell out of him. Lol.

.. Anywhoo, lol. Other than that, I haven't had any comments or faces with the music I listen to. It's usually never loud enough for other cars to hear, and I hardly ever have anyone other than my Gf in the Z.

I usually don't play my music loud enough for anyone else to hear - mainly because I hate people who inflict their crappy music on others, but once in a while I do turn it up. Then I get looks because people don't expect a (usually) professionally dressed woman in a nice car to be blasting Rise Against, Slayer, or Avenged Sevenfold.

Also, I am a one trick pony in my musical taste, so don't be bringing your Dave Matthews CDs into my car or they will be frisbee'd out the window.

I only listen to my exhaust note. That's my music.

Vertigo 07-12-2013 04:14 PM

People usually roll their windows up if they were previously down. lol

Chuck33079 07-12-2013 04:23 PM

It's not embarrassing until you get caught singling along at a red light.

hahaha, i do that too during my commute. i hate hearing random music from some random car. sounds like crap anyways with their trunk lid and rear license plate buzzing from all the bass, etc. :ugh2: the driver probably doesnt even know he looks like an idiot while doing it. :rofl2:

Haboob 07-12-2013 04:34 PM

I listen to everything.

However, if my windows are down and I pull into a place or to a stop light, I turn my music down (yeah, I'm one of those types of people). :icon17:

If someone is in my car, I don't play the music very loud at all. To where you can barely hear it, I like to be able to hear what people are saying... not sure why I assume we always have to be conversing whilst driving though.
