Who would like to see T Tops come back

Maybe even a Targa Roof. I have a 2012 Roadster and I really like it, but I still think the T Tops were great on my previous 2008.

One disappointment with the Roadster is that I am finding restrictions at New Jersey Motorsports Park on tracking it. The will not accept the factory rollover protection. I guess I will have to deal with my need for speed since a roll bar is just not going to happen.

Regards

Jim

I would be pretty stoked with a targa (Supra did it well) but I don't see any return to the T-Tops. Very 80's unfortunately, and no one is going back there.

As for track, save for purpose built open cockpit cars anything not enclosed is going to be an issue even for simple DE events. We also have a Z-R and its not going to accompany an aftermarket role bar at all where as cars like Miata can (though good luck passing the broom stick test unless you are < 5' 8" :)

If Nissan came out with a targa...or better yet Porsche a targa Cayman I would have an extremely difficult financial decision to make :D

I had a T-Top car once (a '99 WS6). They seem pretty cool before you buy them, but they're not nearly as cool once you own it and drive that car all the time. They're a pain to install/remove. The T-Tops are big bulky chunks of glass. You can leave 'em in your garage, but then you're screwed if it rains or you want to secure the car parked for a while. You can stow them in the little slots in the trunk area to keep them with you, but then it kills your trunk space.

If someone made magical T-Tops that worked like a moonroof or mechanized convertible, maybe that would be cool for a summer highway cruiser car.

I wouldn't mind if designed into the car right from factory. Hate to see custom T tops on cars that don't match the feature.

My C6 had a removable roof and I used it all the time. It's easy to remove/install and it stores neatly and securely in the trunk. That would be an AWESOME feature on the 370.

I'd love the factory option of T tops as I had on my Z32.

T-Top = my 2007 and 2008 Jeep Wrangler's "Freedom Top". Great in theory but not the easiest most convenient - for the reasons stated above. They were light fiberglass and easy to pull and stow - but my roadster's button has it beat.

If i had bought the coupe and a targa was avail then yes- or throw in a sunroof.

Love that Camaro above.

its funny how some like to hide under dark tint, and some just want the whole world to see inside. :icon17:

im fine with my roof and no tint. :) im super glad nissan did not put a sunroof on our cars too.

T-Tops

#1 thing I miss about my Z32TT. Well actually, that's a lie. #1 is 16 PSI boost, but T-Tops are certainly #2!

ya its such a nice feature, especially if its seamless like on the corvette's. wish this was an option. plenty of trunk space to create a slot for it too like on the C6.

When I said this, I was talking about targa, not t-top. Woops! T-top looks stupid
