Even with the issues, Still love the car!

My 40th has had a couple issues in the 11 months I've owned it. The first one being the dreaded steering lock failure which occurred on the exact same day after a TSB was sent out on it. Got that fixed in a hurry not costing me anything but fear and frustration.

My next issue is a loud click near the back left and right wheels when the gas is engaged AND disengaged. for a car that only has 22,000 miles on it, I think it has more issues than it should. I hope the clicking is resolved by just a lube and adjustment in the axles, but we shall see as I sit here at the Nissan service department.

Had my R2C intake installed on Saturday and cant wait to open her up when my clicking issue goes away.

The car is a stunner and even after a year almost, i'm still excited about it and these little tantrums now and then I will put up with because of that sexy 40th paint color and caliper color.

A lot of guys here have had the axle click issue. It seems to get resolved successfully.

Hope you get it all sorted out and enjoy those R2C intakes. Fully stock, they provide a much nicer sounding growl starting at about 4K RPMs when you're heavy on the throttle :yum:

yeah they sound good and the black nickel is beautiful!

My base model has given me a few issues here and there (mostly suspension noises). But after 47K mi, I just cant see myself parting ways with this car.

It handles well (even after 3 cross-country trips), accellerates smoothly, turns heads and demands respect from sports car enthusiasts all across the US. 370Z FTW everytime in my book.

My car isn't demanding much respect these days with all of the Audi R8's i've seen on the road lately! I die a little inside every time I see one and feel like im driving a babies toy lol

The guys at Surf City Nissan fixed her up in an hour. I didn't ask, they didn't tell, but it feels like it has more power/responsiveness, smoother shifts, and NO CLICK!

I tipped a shuttle/car washer guy $20 for shuttling me to my house and back when they fixed my steering lock in March. He remembered me and moved me up in line past 4 other cars haha. Saved me at least an hour. That tip paid dividends!

dang, the last tipping i did was a cow. ;)

glad to hear your car is fixed.
