Can someone confirm this "370Z recaall."

Gas line cracks due to engine over heating.

Or so a friend of mine says.

shabarivas 07-27-2009 04:02 PM

And where did you hear that from??? It is extremely hot around here and I would NOT want a failure like that happening to me when on the road...

LOL...Yeah, that's an accurate source. Actually the car does not run very hot (other than oil) so I'd tend to think this is much ado about nothing..
The sky is not falling, your friend is likely an idiot... Go back to your regularly scheduled program...

The NHTSA doesn't list any recalls for the 370z, and I would think a leaking fuel line would be safety related.

Recalls.gov

zZSportZz 07-27-2009 06:31 PM

Lol...just so happens that the first recall is due to engine overheating....whats the odds?

FricFrac 07-27-2009 07:45 PM

I just checked and there's NO SUCH recall. This will be a good time to stop listening to this friend!

mspeasl 07-28-2009 08:38 PM

Does anyone think that this maybe a BS post just to wind us up..............................?

kdoske 07-28-2009 09:50 PM

ahh you know how it is, everybody want to wow somebody with something. For some getting your attention and feeling important for half a second is easily earned by blurting out random false statements that they know will get your attention. Its pretty silly really but its a strange strange world....

Seems to me like his friend use this "recall" to get attention and to have an instant connection with his friend and his new toy. I swear the human brain is retarded sometimes....

Its also possible that his friend heard it from someone, who heard it from someone, etc, etc....
