Is Rev Match Working Right

New 2012 370 Roadster, comming from previous versions of the Z this is my first one with rev match. Here is my question:

No doubt Rev Match is working on downshift. My question is on the upshift. Don't see a real difference between on and off in S mode. Any way to tell if it is working since I still find that I need to add a bit of throttle blip in either mode.

Thanks

Jim

On upshift there really isn't much need, because your revs are going to fall anyways...
It may just smooth out the change

While driving around in what ever gear press in the clutch while S-Mode is on and watch the RPM's stay put... It's working.

Thanks

Totally different on up shift, revs really drop... unless I shift with my usual throttle blip I don't get the smooth shift I did with my 350 and that car was not really know for its' clutch engagement.

Still when all is said and done the 370 is a dream to drive compared to the 350, hard to believe the difference.

Magnaflow and CAI going in this weekend, better half is shaking her head, but it is Fathers Day :driving:

Why are you blipping the throttle to up shift? Shifting very slowly?

that threw me of too cause as far as i remember syncro rev is only supposed to hold RPM's on upshift and blip the throttle on downshift lol

The S mode holds the revs momentarily on upshifts. I've driven manual transmission performance vehicles for years and have never blipped the throttle on an upshift. Rev matched downshifting but not on an upshift.

Maybe

I am shifting too slowly. Around town I don't normally focus on trying to shift all that quickly, just kinda taking it slow and steady, guess going for smooth over press your *** into the seat, so probably the RPM's are droping more then they should.

Point of my post is that comming from a 300Z to a 350 then to the 370 I find the upshifts different in trying to come to grips with rev match.

Thanks for the interesting replies.
