New Addition: Kouki

So, I decided to purchase a friend of mine's S14. Car needs a paint job and some other cosmetic enhancements but overall, the car is in overall good shape. The KA swapped motor has 110k miles while the chasis has 160k miles. It has a basic stock turbo setup at about 6 psi. I forgot the size, etc but i will update with all the detailed info next week. I decided to make this my "project" car besides my Z because my Z is still very much new and you never know what will happen down the road. I'm in love with the idea of having a RB26 swapped S14, so now thats what I'm going to work towards instead of turboing my Z.

Thought you guys might be interested, so I figured I'd share.

Oh, and I picking it up Monday for 5k if all goes well.

I'll update with more pics and info then.

By the way, I'm very VERY new to FI and this is going to be a learning experience for me.

Nice pickup! I had a Sileighty in Japan with the blacktop sr20 and loved it! You should think about going rb25 on it. Would be cheaper than rb26 and can get good power out of them.

Thanks! I'm pretty excited to pick it up and get started.

And that vinyl idea doesn't sound bad at all!

I'm gonna do some research on similar builds with the RB25 and 26 and see what I can afford and what not.

Sorry for my dumb question... What is a Kouki conversion or a s14 conversion the silvia guys talking about? Are these just the different bodykit like the Amuse or Stillen for us? Anyways, car looks nice and have fun on your project!

The s14 has 2 versions: Kouki & Zenki
A conversion is taking a Zenki or s13 era Silvia and brining it up to a Kouki or s15 front style. This can be a simple front bumper, headlights swap or as far as engine, suspension, etc.

Ah, I see... That's why they called it a conversion coz it could be more than just a front bumper swap. Thanks for the info.:tiphat:

And to be more in depth, the s13 is considered Zenki, the s14 is Chuki, and the s15 is Kouki (not available in US). The s14 has two body styles, hence Zenki and Kouki:tup:
