For the few times I drive my car, this is what I do.

-Start the car
-Belt on
-Connect iPhone
-VDC off as I roll away

Akbubba47 05-18-2013 02:37 AM

I think the start button is obvious so I won't count that.
1- vdc off
2- seatbelt on
3- turn up the radio as I drive away

karotZ 05-18-2013 03:09 AM

1) Harness belt (gotta find sweet spot seating position).
2) Remove Quick Lock and insert Nardi steering wheel.

RiCharlie 05-18-2013 08:30 AM

No. Not at all like that :ugh2:

Neither of those items you name interfere with the manner in which I wish to drive my car sometimes. VDC does :tiphat:

DOOMMONKEY777 05-18-2013 05:31 PM

Walk around inspect for new scratches, if none
Clutch in, ignition ON, VDC off, if all ok
Hand brake down, rpm near 1k, 1st gear am oouuttaa:driving:

It's very simple. VDC cuts throttle when I want throttle. Ergo, VDC OFF :tiphat:

Your line of questioning tells me you should probably leave it ON.

Pintsize725 05-19-2013 01:19 AM

1. Move seat almost all the way up.
2. Adjust boobs/bra.
3. Start car.

snowsurfdirtx 05-19-2013 01:58 AM

no one closes the door after they get in? crazy bastards.

A lot of times I don't close the door right away because I let the car warm up and get out after starting it to inspect the car or tinker in my garage for a minute or two.

mhill0425 05-19-2013 09:26 AM

I do a walk around before I get into my car.
Once I'm actually in the car, things get interesting.
1) Usually dig stuff out of pockets while brake+start button happens
2) Plug phone into aux
3) Adjust climate control

I usually put the windows down with the remote to save a step after I get into the car. This has saved me seconds over the last month and a half when it has been warm enough for the windows to be down.

Sometimes I only have one leg in an use my right foot to depress clutch pedal, Push start while putting car into neutral.

Voice59 05-19-2013 01:43 PM

Almost exactly what I do except I wait for the engine to start making it's way toward operating temp. ie LED moves at least one spot towards center.

I always find it interesting to see people drivings habits.

Besides him not signaling which was annoying, the 4 times we got into the car, he adjusted his seat every time which I thought was weird. I know once I have my sweet spot I don't dare change it lol.

Also didn't put his seatbelt on till about 2 mins into driving.

I was curious whats the first 3 things people do when they step into their Z.

For me:

- Push Start
- Seat Belt On
- VDC OFF

I let RPM's come back down to 1K, Ipod kicks in on the nav then drive away

Yes....its a slow Friday here at work lol :icon17:

nmjaxx9 05-19-2013 02:40 PM

Get in
Connect the ipod
Fire it and floor it.

1) sit back and smile
2) Press the 'GOBUTTONFRACKINGENGINESTARTTHISMONSTERMACHINEANDL ETSROLLALREADY' button; commonly referred to as the 'start' button
3) smile bigger in anticipation while I slowly lean forward to turn off the 'OMGWEAREGOINGTOCRASHIMMEDIATELYGODHELPUSALL' button; commonly referred to as 'VDC' button
