Oy! Abflug!

No, I didn't smash my face on the keyboard for the title. The Abflug body pieces; anyone know much about them? Are they tested like the Amuse body pieces?

I'm thinking to drop those foglamps and run tubes: one to the brakes and one to the engine bay or air box (trickey option to the box, and will require some silicon tube manufacturing).

OH DEAR GOD NO!
I found this there too:

Wrapped in a spoiler for your protection.

WARNING: pregnant women, people with heart conditions, and small children are advised not to open the spoiler!!!

There's more, but I can only take in so much at a time. Looking at those should be a registered extreme sport.:roflpuke2:

These body pieces are so bad it's worth a double post.

I think I just contracted aids from just looking at them.

Thanks for wrapping it in spoiler tags, but curiosity almost murdered me

I actually like the ABflug kit, I've seen it before and nobody has it so it would def be unique. Too bad it's all so damned expensive. And lol at that GTR wannabe kit on the white one. I've seen that one before and it's godawful. Another one that I like that nobody seems to have is the Tamon front bumper, not sure about the rear bumper though...

^I like that Tamon Design (RC370Z) Full widebody Kit also.^

I don't mind the Abflug kit (1st kit-unspoiled) too much. Those lights would have to go in place of something a little more functional (venting) IMO.

Yeah, that white one about killed me. I was vocally saying "no. no. no. no. no. no. no" until my fiance asked what I was doing and I realized I was saying that out loud. ;)

wow this kit actually looks nice.

I think we are reversed in opinion on this one, the rear is  and the front is debatable...

different strokes for different folks! however this is definitely not a *bad* kit :driving:

IDK, most of these aftermarket body kits don't impress me at all. I can not even imagine how expensive they must be but I'm guessing 3-7K installed per piece? Why would you spend money on that when the car looks so damn good anyway? If you are doing the stillen front splitter or some canards, or a wing for the track I can understand, but I just don't think many of these things are "upgrades" in terms of visual appearance.

Welcome to the forum and to owning a Z. I agree; I don't think many are upgrades at all (reference my spoiler hidden ones). However, I do like some, like that widebody.

You're not far off on cost for fronts and rears. I would do most of my own work and probably vinyl wrap over primer ($200 over part cost) bringing it back under $2000 per. Amuse's kits are wind tunnel tested I believe and provide some downforce.

That's what the original post was about; that kit with the fogs-I would remove the fogs and run air pipes to brakes and air box. Looks be damned (to some degree).

Tony (2thextreme), has the AbFlug rear bumper only, he's the only statesider that I know who has any piece of their kit.

Huck 04-28-2013 07:10 PM

I think I like them more JUST BECAUSE nobody has them. It would be a serious attention piece at any car show.

Hahaha I could see someone coming up and asking me what kind of Ferrari that is instead of asking what kind of Porsche that is.
