It's a real review, OP just happens to be the author. Obviously signed up here just to get some traffic to it.

Does it smell like a trap?

If so, then it's a trap.

:p

It's more of a short story that ends in the wrecking of a Z rather than a review? I kind of skipped paragraphs as it was almost TLDR (it's not you, OP, it's me... I swear). I like the photos in the article though.

Edit: Oops, did I ruin it for everyone?

That was a really interesting read! What's this about not being able to downshift into 3rd though? I've never had that problem at all. Is it a documented thing?

Nope. I've never had the problem.

Clutch in, SRM, downshift, clutch out, go! Maybe step 1 was skipped?

Interesting read.

For those who don't feel like reading...

He hits a deer and orders a new Z to replace the one he crashed. It literally took me one sentence to tell that story:rofl2:

Complaining about manual mode shifting in an AT? :shakes head:

Get an MT and DIY that $hit :icon17:

If he was into 5th during aggressive driving, then his speed would likely have been in the triple digits. At night. Testing an unfamiliar car.

Fail.

tower74 04-15-2013 04:33 PM

Well if it wouldn't shift into 3rd (on the AT7) then obviously you would of put the car beyond the redline. On the AT7 it will not allow to go past the redline.

He knew what he wanted in the end and asked for Pearl White.

2xtreme1 04-15-2013 11:38 PM

I was lost the whole time reading, good pics though.

It's actually not a bad read and not a bad review, though in a strange format for most.

My only problem was the non-native English (the site is Hungarian). Could use a copyedit or two from an English-speaker, just to clear up some of the awkward sentences. :) But still, I got the gist, and it's different enough to be interesting and useful.

I do think he got the essence of the car, at least one view of it, from the livable normal driving to the beast that awakens when you poke it. And it makes for a good read on the sensation of driving the Z, though I also have no problems dropping down the gears when needed in the 7at.

GSS138 04-16-2013 04:01 PM

TLDR;

Guy with job loves his 370z, has bad day, drives home the long way really fast, tries to convince himself that AT's are not for girls, stops and picks up milk, then goes home and rubs his wife's butt.

ElVee 04-16-2013 04:14 PM

I think instead of page 2, you may have clicked a porn pop up?

It's possible.

Bambi! Bambi!!

Has anyone here seen my pet deer? I was vacationing with her in Slovakia (where a man and his deer can walk the streets holding hands/hooves without drawing unwanted attention), but we had some unkind words. She ran away. I fear she slipped over the boarder to Hungary.

It was dark, and she doesn't know her way.

Have you seen her?

BAMBI!!!

alvitdk 04-17-2013 12:45 PM

Actually a entertaining story, not really a review, but interesting nevertheless.
