no form, just call 1 800 647 7261 and give them your VIN. they will see the recall and all you will have to do then is fax them a copy of the receipt.

They ask me to take the car back to Nissan so they can certify that the work they did was done according to the recall and fax them a copy.:shakes head:

I had to fax them the receipt, method of payment and a bunch of BS...

So those of you that had the steering lock failure prior to the recall that have been reimbursed how long did it take for you to get your check after they said it was approved?

Mine was approved yesterday and now I have a huge dilemma. What do I spend the near $1300 on?

$1300???? I paid $597 for the part from Lou, the dealer did the work for free

i called up nissan and they said id need to take my car in to get the work i did VERIFIED before they would reimburse. so i said hell with it. the reason why i did the work was i didnt want the dealer touching my car.

i didn't have to take mine in. dealer didn't want me back there, guess i'm that big of a ****

yup 1300, had it towed and the dealer had to order the part since it was the first time they had heard of this happening. needless to say i was furious when i dropped it off. i think this is why the dealer didn't have to "verify" the work was done. i have never taken my car there for service and didn't buy it there but they made it seem like they were doing me a favor fixing it with me paying for it at the time. **** that dealer.

Hows it going guys I.just got a notice from nissan say they will replace the steering wheel column that malfunctions but I have already replaced this and paid 1085. Since I got this notice now will I be able to get a refund from them any one know for sure. Dont wanna waste a trip to the dealer ship if they gonna refuse me a refund.

Did it seize on you? Is that why you purchased a new one?

Go to the dealer. You don't need a letter. I'm at my dealer right now for a free oil change (sweet) and asked about the recall. They're replacing it today.

this is such a hassle. i called them up then they said i had to take my car in so they can close my recall in order for me to get reimburse. i thought that was it. after i got the recall closed out i called the consumer affairs and they told me now i gotta fax in my receipt. isnt all Nissan computer data base connected cant they just research on the computer how much i paid and verify it that way.. so bs

PapoZalsa 04-20-2013 09:03 PM

Finally got mine approved Friday. But I was told 2 to 4 weeks to receive the payment. :shakes head:

I hope I get it before ZdayZ....
