Omgwtf i used the search funtion

So all this info started popping up and it was a lot to read and I was really tired and I didn't feel like searching through everything to figure out all the answers to my questions and have to, like, sit there and read and stuff so i just hit the exit thing on that and decided to make this post so. what i want to know is I have intakes on my car do I need a tune cause I dont' want to blow my car up if the computer can't handle it and it runs rich and stuff that'd suck and also I need to change my oil but I want to use the good stuff what Kind of oil is the best, I mean I know syntheti8c is the good stuff but which brand is the best someone said quaker oil and someone else said pensoil? Do i need to do anything special to change my own oil? K thanx

OMFG.....that's long winded.

GoJagZ 04-06-2013 03:27 PM

nah, just go with the Pep Boys brand. That stuff is like adding 24k gold to your engine. Im pretty sure it adds like 15whp on an all-wheel dyno. If you can, make sure to use diesel next time you fill up too, cause that will help you get 50-60mpg. You wouldve seen all this if you used the search...

1st question with answer- Intakes alone will not throw your air fuel ratio off enough for your engine to blow. Forced induction is really the big one if you put on an N/A motor that needs a tune.
A tune is a good idea though to optimize the performance the intake offers but not necessary.

2nd question with answer- Amsoil is the "best" motor oil. It was the first in synthetic oil for motor vehicles after synthetic was used in aviation.
That being said all cars like different oils better then others BUT I ran amsoil high performance motor oil in my 350z which is basically the same engine and the car loved it! Better gas mileage and clearly better performance.

If you don't believe me about amsoil google Amsoil vs. Mobil 1 or any other motor oil that 3rd parties did and the viscosity break down and other key aspects of motor oil blew away the competition.
Another good one is Redline or Royal purple.

Hope that helps.

Lol there is no way that was Huck who wrote that.

Short answer: No.

Long answer:
Well, you've been here too long, and you're premium, and your post count is over 10, and you're not 16, and hopefully you have car insurance, and hopefully you have you license and not a permit

Edit:
USE THE SEARCH FEATURE!!!

But if you use the search engine and read every post, then you'd be smarter than everybody else on here because the oil goes in the place on the engine marked "Oil" and you'd be able to polish your car before waxing with the best brand and then your spacers would make your wheels look flush on the best model and year Z car that is located along I-95 where the price for a gallon of gas is slightly lowered on coils!!!!!!!!!!

The idea crossed my mind.

Plus, I recall reading you had a tune sometime ago but not happy with it.

Japanjay 04-06-2013 05:41 PM
