GTR start button

Has anyone noticed that the 2013 370Z start button is different? It says engine on the button rather than the bezel around it like other years. As far as I know, the GTR button hasn't been changed. My question is does anyone know if the connector in the back is the same or did they change that as well? Anyone install a GTR start button on a 2013 can confirm the connection in the back hasn't been changed?

It's exactly the same. I've already done the swap on mine.

Here's the DIY in case you need it or haven't found it:

GT-R start button swap.

i can't imagine it would given that the function's need to be the same.

Thanks, and what color does the word engine light as? I would assume everything is still orange-ish...

Your recent threads shock me, because they're all not stupid questions, so keep it up!
As for the "engine" part being lit... It's not... And yep, everything else is orangish

Thanks dude, I hate being the f-ing new guy if you know what I mean. So, the engine part doesn't light up at all? I've seen pics of it blue on GTRs but I wasn't sure if they were modified or anything.

Those are all modified, like even on mine I changed all the orangish to red because I wanted it to look mean(er)

Or perhaps the real reason is to distinguish it from the stereo/AC buttons. Yeah some people do...:bowrofl:

What's lit is still amber in color. I can't remember what all is lit up... I'm too tired and didn't pay attention on my drive home. :icon17:

I hate to sound like an a$$ but I'm honestly worried that when I post something someone is going to say use the search button. You know what's really funny when you search a lot of things on this forum. The more recent threads on a subject don't have any real info and just basically say you're an idiot for not searching first. Which basically makes the search feature useless because it's filled with threads that all say use the search button (without any references/links). You can't expect someone to search back 4 years to the very first thread on whatever subject that hasn't been posted on in over 2 years. So, that's kind of where I'm coming from when I say sorry for the stupid question. I honestly tried searching with no luck, it happens and I think we all need to remember that at times.
