WARNING: Don't buy this particular car!

I wasn't sure where to put this so mods please move as you see fit.

Last week I sold my 370Z after a year of never ending clutch problems. I took the car to three different dealers plus two separate shops. No one could figure out what was causing the clutch problem and in turn eating the transmission(s).

The car was just posted for sale on Carmax's site and I wanted to warn people to stay away from it.

Here is the VIN: JN1AZ4EH9AM502731

2010 Nissan 370Z Touring in Tampa, FL- 9278538 at carmax.com

See this thread for the clutch issue details:

So sad... it was such a badass car.

Link says this car is not available

Link works for me in IE and Firefox.
If you want to search for it, it's a 2010 40th Anniversary Edition in Tampa, FL with 29K on the odometer.

Wow that is good read on your clutch issue. Sorry to hear you had to sell your z. And thanks for the heads up.

Jasonle 03-28-2013 11:39 PM

thanks for the heads up! Bummer you couldn't get it fixed

MrGump 03-28-2013 11:39 PM

That car came up in my searches today and it made me second guess myself for paying a bit more for my 40th a few months ago.

All good now.

Ok I won't...

Haboob 03-29-2013 01:03 AM

Ah ****, how do I get a refund?

Dsevast 03-29-2013 06:38 AM

Good looking out! Sorry you had so much trouble.

Sorry to hear you had so much issues. I dealt with mine for at least a year after getting an aftermarket setup. All is fine now, but the judder remains in 1st and R. It can shake the entire car as I feather the clutch.

If all it did was judder in 1st I would have kept it. I loved driving that car. But I have a Stillen supercharger sleeping in my closet until I buy my next Z. :happydance:
