Annoying Gas pedal

Hi guys,

Am I the only one that hates that 370Z gas pedal? I use to own a 350Z and I liked it much better. I find the gas pedal on the 370Z hard to manage, especially when negotiating a curve while you need to be careful on the throttle. I don’t find it very “progressive”.

And, depending on the type of shoes you wear, the plastic base drives me nuts.

So far, I don’t see any complaints by any other owners. Am I the only one thinking like that?

Cheers!

I wish it wasn't glued to the floor at the base, and had more resistance...and maybe was more like muscle cars in terms of feel...

Then again, I'm used to driving older cars and trucks.

Get a better spring for it and you should be good... as for the base vs top... thats a whole nother can of worms

Are you wearing high-heels by any chance?

And me, the 350 pedal was much easier to manipulate IMO.

I noticed at the start of the pedal stroke the throttle is on-off-on-off... It drives me nuts, no progression at this point.

Yeah, I just got my 370 yesterday and I have reached for an invisible rock under my foot twice already...OH, thats just the gas pedal base. Weird, maybe Ill just drive it bare foot...

I dunno if it's because I've been doing it for a long time, or if my foots a weird shape, but I can heel-toe better in this car than any of my previous cars. FD3S, FC3S, eg Civic, and WRX.

Hmmmm

I've only owned about fifteen cars but every car feels a little different. But after driving my Z five or six times I'm perfectly acclimated to the feel. You should get used to it.

It could be better but it could be worse. I really hate the clutch pedal.

Exactly my feeling!... At first, and for a couple of times, I though the carpet was out of place!

I also agree on the "On/Off" feeling...

Just glad to see that I am not the only one... I guess we'll have to get use to it.
