Nope. Plus most my friends can't drive stick anyhow. I'd consider letting my wife, but she can't drive stick either!

What happened?

Daishi9000 10-16-2013 10:21 AM

nothing happened to the car,
it was the anxiety of what could have happened!! :rofl2:

I've got a few friends I would let drive the Z if I were a passenger. They can both replace the car if they break it, and they drive a manual every day. I've never ridden in the passenger seat, so I'm kinda curious since cars always feel faster as a passenger.

It's that "lack of control" feeling. :eekdance:

specially when they shift at higher rpms than you would under causal driving...
"oh god why isn't he upshifting!"

If I let one of my buddies drive the car with me riding shotgun, he'll be specifically instructed to take it to redline at WOT for more than one gear. The car feels "normal" now, so the whole point in going for a ride is to remind me that it's really fast.

I only let one person drive my Z. It was a service manager at a dealership. He had to drive it in their shop when I needed the tpms sensors initialized when I got my new wheels. He couldn't even do that right. Instead of driving on the ramp lift, he tried to drive up on the four point lift. I stopped him before he bottomed out the sides on the lift arms.

If sitting counts as driving, sure. LOL!

So far just one person because I know he won't do anything to it. :)

They both drive sticks as their daily drivers so I had no issues with them driving my car for approx 5-10 minutes each. The happiness on their faces after the drive, well worth it.

Chuck, Exactly! I had to tell both of the guys who drove my car (they were babying it) to "stomp it, the car won't break". The happiness on their faces and seeing their hands shake after the drive, priceless!

2014 Chevy Corvette for parts

"I'm parting out my Corvette since it was wrecked. Gave it to some guy named Mikey G to detail it and the next thing I know it turns up wrecked. So I'm parting it out now.

Still has good engine and was only wrecked in the rear and top. Has the 7 speed manual transmission.

Only has 1257 miles on it. Will not sell whole so don't ask.

If interested contact Trent at (402) 382-5968"
