Worst Fuel Mileage you ever got?

With all these threads about trying to get the most fuel mileage out of their cars, lets flip it. Whats the worst mileage you ever got? say Distance per tank of fuel to keep it simple. I am wondering about the FI guys running a crap ton of power and using it at every light, haha.

Worst, 12.7 over the entire tank

In my Rental Maxima, 11.7, LOL

kenchan 02-27-2013 03:54 PM

my G can only do about 14-15mpg when used as dd.

dP3NGU1N 02-27-2013 03:57 PM

I had to disconnect the battery from my car and let the power drain while I was at the drift track at button willow which reset all my instruments. So for the rest of the day I was getting 4mpg while drifting.

So for about half a tank got 4mpg.

kenchan 02-27-2013 03:58 PM

ok, you win.

/thread.

UNKNOWN_370 02-27-2013 03:59 PM

You're damn straight I do! As soon as I turn their Maxima on, I click the T/C and heated steering wheel buttons
It's easier to feel or know the limit of grip on a FWD car than the Z IMO, so I take it to that limit ALLLLLLLL the time

(Oh, yeah, I know... It's because of pricks like me that you shouldn't buy a rental car... My last Maxima that I owned was a rental, LOL, thank GOD for the extended warranty though)

SS_Firehawk 02-27-2013 04:43 PM

I averaged about 280-300 miles per tank for about 2 months until I replaced an O2 sensor...

danegrey 02-27-2013 05:19 PM

Worse was last month 15.8.....

ShutokuZ 02-27-2013 06:11 PM

Still only getting ave of 15.2 mpg all city, but barely passed 2k on the odo.

Nailzs 02-27-2013 06:16 PM

19.5 at under 200 miles, currently 23.3 at under 2000 miles.

dP3NGU1N 02-27-2013 06:34 PM

Hmm, normal driving doing 21 but I'm mostly 60/40 highway/city.... If i'm feeling particularly rowdy I do 20 =\

JungleZ 02-27-2013 06:53 PM

I average 11-14 mpg at all times... All city driving. Worst i got was like 10mpg average on a a3/4 tank

Red__Zed 02-27-2013 06:56 PM

3.2 Mpgs on the dragon.

kenchan 02-27-2013 07:14 PM

Yeah, but it was P0300, and never got a SES for the busted sensor. The readings were all over so she ran rich as hell. Still get the P0300, but after the 02 sensor was replaced and was retuned, MPG jumped to about 22-23mpg average.

I know this is opposite to the topic, but the last fill up I divided miles driven with gallons pumped and got 28.9 miles per gallon. I better go back to elementary school because a must need a math refresher. Used a calculator with the same result.

I mean it's plausible if you drive 55MPH on the freeway ONLY,
( Click to show/hide )
downhill :bowrofl: I kid

UNKNOWN_370 02-28-2013 09:53 AM

I average somewhere between 14 and 18 mpg's. No where near Nissan claims. And thats mixed driving 60% non sport driving.

speedracer007 02-28-2013 10:08 AM

I have a spreadsheet (yes I AM an engineer :p).

13 Fillups so far -- Worst was 16.53 mpg.

Current average over 4000 miles is 21.89 mpg.

Actually started doing this with one of my previous cars. I was curious if I'd get different mpgs depending on where I filled up. Over a years time I filled up at different gas stations. I consistantly got lower gas mileage at one of them (don't remember the brand at this point, it was 10 years ago and I have since moved)

Mt Tam I am 03-02-2013 03:38 AM

18.7 gallons 140 miles. About 7.5 miles /gal. Mostly auto cross, with a little track time too.
