front right break squeaking

i have noticed the front right break squeaks in the morning and sometimes even after the car has fully warmed up. it seems like the way i depress the break pedal causing the squeak. it has been going on for a few weeks already. taking it in when i have time next week. can anyone shine some light before then?

the car only has 27000 miles, and i dont track or do crazy driving by any means. 0 mods to the car.

Thanks

you have the sport brake? if so, those brakes (like bbk's) like short and firm braking vs long wimpy braking.

i suggest you replace the pads and put brakequiet (crc) on the back.

my G's brembo squeaked like a damn rat with is butt caught in the conveyer belt until i got some new pads from endless and used brakequiet. :)

I am having the same problem, usually in the morning.

I took it to the dealership cause i thought i need new pads but the tech inspected them and say i have 70% and 90% left (even after 18k miles)

I will have to take them apart and inspect it myself

I had my rear right brake squeaking, the factory grease on the slide pins and spring clips was very gunked up and sticky. I cleaned it off and applied some new brake lubricant sparingly to the slide pins and the spring clips where they contact the pad hangers and haven't had a issue since.

i took it to the dealership right before they closed today and the service adviser said i have 60F and 40%R left. he said squeaking is very normal on nissan products :shakes head: and it wouldnt hurt or break anything if i just left it alone. he also said more than likely the break pads are "I forgot the term", and a break service or some heavy long distance breaking would take care of it. And squeaking is not covered under warranty.

guess will leave it alone

it still amazes me how so many car "enthusiasts" still don't know the difference between break and brake

i bet this is the fix, i changed mine out yesterday and they havent sqeaked since. The pads werent in need of replacement, but we did them anyway. Noticed i did have some gunk and a proper cleaning and re-grease may have solved issue w/out having to get new pads.
