370z 2009-2013. Do they look different?
Are the base models all the same? What year did they change looks (BASE ONLY):ughdance: Just curious

Didn't Nissan start removing the Steering Locked on 2012's?

late 2011 did not have steering lock either |
JEEZUS, why do we care?!?!?! LMAO!!!
In any case, the OP can use the search feature, or Google, AND he only asked for looks anyways, just trying to answer a little extra before we get more useless threads! |
We only try to help lol :rofl2:

2013 base is the same as all years except has the oil cooler like the 2012.
2013 performance model comes with the different bumper with LEDs and red calipers. |

To regular non car folks on the street, totally just on looks alone:
2009-2012 look the same 2013 - is that a 350z? |
For all practical purposes, the car is essentially unchanged. They're just marking time to a new generation in a couple of years.

Parking lights/DRLs are the same to me... They just don't stay on when your headlights are on |

Also - for the OP, there are other differences between the '13 version and the earlier models. Going off the top of my head: 1) Sport model brake calipers are now red ('12 and earlier have grey) 2) Sport model suspension tuning revised. 3) The fuel/coolant gauge face is black on the '13 ('12 has bright aluminum finish). 4) Wheel designs (both Sport and Base) are different on the '13. 5) Rear bumper fascia is different but it's hard to tell what is different other than the fake fog light is now red vs. black. As others have said, you can search for this info and it will pop up. But seeing as this is a 3-day weekend, I was feeling a bit generous. ;) Dave |
fake fog light is actually a real fog light now. There are also smaller things such as starting in 2011 the option for the rear camera on the rear view mirror and heated side mirrors.

Are you referring to the LEDs in the bumper? Parking lights and DRLs are different, parking lights are the little 168 bulb in the headlights that you can turn off... DRLs run ALL the time and can not be turned off while the car is on unlike parking lights that can... |
Directly from 2013 Nissan 370Z Coupe | Vehicle Specs | Nissan USA, under Exterior Features:
"LED Daytime Running Lights" Besides, the OP specifically said base, nothing else. |

Fortunately my Nismo doesn't have these or regular DRL's like most cars in the headlights. |
