John,
You are posting this stuff all over the board, there are at least three different threads that have the exact same information in them about these b-pillar covers and another dozen threads about all the other replacement parts your trying to make. You do have a vendor topic that would be perfect to keep everyone updated on your progress. I'd like to know why you stopped posting on the build thread? There was an update everyday for a week and then it went dead as the two week period came to an end... Nick |
We have nothing to update on that thread ^. The car was put back together and since we were waiting for the proper materials to create the carbon fiber pieces we couldn’t have them finished in time. So now we do have the materials and are working on bullittes pieces. We will be sending him the pieces over the next week give or take a few days and then he will be posting pictures.
And I do know we are in 3 different sections so that we are spread through out the site so we get recognized by more members. We are just making sure we can get a decent amount of sales and we also do pay to post. But I will update the build thread right now to let everybody know. |
Thanks

How come I can't see any pictures??? |
These look beautiful. Maybe you could update this thread with a link to the installed pics once Bullit gets them.
|
Can everybody else see the pictures?
And here are some pictures of the product placed up to the car. http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/t...m/SSPX1825.jpg http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/t...m/SSPX1827.jpg |
Seeing them and love'n them
:happydance: |
What is the weight difference between oem and these.. Obviously its more about the look than anything else just curious how much weight it shaves,,
|
Id say its 2 - 3x lighter. It only weighs 1 oz each. Thats before clear though. Maybe 1.2 oz avg.
|
Great job!! I see this is at Continental Nissan on LaGrange Road... I live closer to you than I thought, I am about five minutes from there.
If you need to test fit parts out of your molds let me know, no taking my car apart thought! :ughdance: Keep it up. Nick |
Noice! PMed!

Cant wait to see these installed on Zs!

I guess you stopped reading the threads, the company he recieved his clear coat from was the wrong kind so all of his worked was scraped do to not being able to stand the heat. So the company refunded him the money and he now has the correct clear coat, that is why it has stopped. I aggree though that their are many threads all over the board, you should try to tie them together.
|
Other then the threads in our personal vendor section we only have threads devided 50.50 in the general section and exterior section just like other vendors. We just happen to have more at once ha. Its because were new here we want to get known.

My point is, instead of coming on the board saying he is an enthusiast and has a vision to make carbon parts for the 370z even though he has never had projects of this caliber before... he built up all this interest and hype without ever even knowing what he was doing, ... out of his garage. Anyone who has made anything carbon before knows what resin to use, they know that you can't make seven carbon parts in 14 days and that the prices, although cheaper than large manufacturer competitors should be cheaper because they are being made by an amateur enthusiasts. Not trying to degrade John at all, he is trying hard and putting forth lots of effort, but honesty is the best policy. Nick |
so how do all shop start??
overnight idea and BAM, a huge warehouse or garage shop all of a sudden??? |

Ohh ok so I was right, you do have a hardon for John. |
:drama:
I for one give them the benefit of the doubt. From what I remember, he does have a body shop that is not his garage. He just chose to use his garage. I can buy the story about the wrong resin too, things like these do happen, even to experienced manufacturers. I say we cut John a break and give him a couple weeks to get all this stuff straightened away. The Pillar covers look pretty good too :) |
The way I see it, the guy did pay money to be a sponsor on this forum, which helps all of us enjoy the forum. He has been honest and upfront about the issue with the resin. Nobody is going to be an expert at this car since it is relatively new. If the guy is working out of his garage and that can keep costs down, then good for him. Until someone get's a part and it fails, then I will give him the benefit of the doubt. He could have risked it and sent the parts out with a faulty resin. There may have never been an issue, but he swallowed his pride and was honest about the whole situation.

We do have the right materials now and we knew we had to have some great working epoxy here. We do work out of the garage as its been said before which we prefer because its the right size environment we need as of right now and all of our post work is done at an actual shop that is on the same block as our place so it all works out just great for us. No over head, spray booth half way down the block we can use freely, enough room to work, what more can we ask for as of right now? 4 walls and a roof does not make the parts. Workers make the parts.
And yes when we do have steady sales then we will be getting a shop just to have a more professional stance as far as the facility. And we did state CF doors if there is enough time but we said there probably wont be. And the wide body wouldn’t have been until later on this year. The Z also went back stock due to the FACT that the epoxy was just no good so we talked it through with bullitt and we all decided the best thing to do is send the parts the following week or 2 to get everything done right the first time. We refuse to send inferior products or products we know wont last. We want nothing but the best for your products. |

you all should be happy....lol
this would have been a total opposite story if it was master grade. they have good quality CF but shit fitment....and they would have abused the tester car for at least 6 months. |
We pride ourselves in quality and fitment :)
