Front hood latch will not work
So I recently had my steering wheel lock mechanism replaced, thankfully it happend before my big road trip and I got it replaced 2 weeks before my trip. Thanks to this forum I knew what expect by the way. So I am on my trip and I noticed part of the weather strip at the top of the hood flapping around so I stopped to look at it. Suddenly I find out my hood latch inside the car has no tension in it and I cannot open my hood. Theres a cable attached to it and I dont know what the problem is. I'm driving 3000 miles to Seattle ( going the long way )and I'm concerned there might be another problem with the car. Called the Nissan dealer I took it to but its Saturday and no one home, I am hoping theres an easy fix maybe the cable harness was not reconnected or something. Any ideas? Thanks.

if the hood does not open and you can pull the handle it could be the cable broke . you could go and call your dealer and tell them what happened and maybe they can locate one on the way it only takes 1 to 2 hrs to install just a thought.
