I would get a used GTR, or some car thats under 75k. I understand the whole responsibility thing, but i put owning a dream car on a pretty high level. Youve already got savings, rainy day funds, and 401k's, gotta enjoy life. But thats just me

I actually never noticed how big the GT-R was until I saw it in a packed dealership.

The thing is huge! Like a boat.

:iagree::icon18:

then I'd put it down on the upcoming Porsche GT-3.

:iagree:, but to the GT_R's defense, most supercars are the biggest cars you'll see in person.:driving:

1) Buy home - First home so I can use my 401k as down (already doing this)
2) Pay off debt $55k
3) Use $10k to add NA/suspension mods and strip the car
4) Use $10k buy daily driver

I don't even know if I would spend that much on a DD> I wouldn't sell the Z, especially if I had the funds to do other stuff. I wouldn't pour all my fresh earnings into it either. I would spend a little bit maybe 5-10K and invest the rest across a couple accounts. Let that money boil for a couple years and then do something else with it. Thats 75K. Thats a nice chunk of money. To drop that all off Cash on a car... nah... Not a smart move. Pay off debt?? Yes that is a great option.... as long as your still saving on top of that. Congrats on the money and hope it finds a nice home.....

If I was being a total bastard though... GTR! ;-)

$15K would totally buff your Z into a supercharged awesome sauce dripping machine. I'd use the rest to improve my finances and home. (And pay off your car loan?)

Most of all, have fun.

I saw rental....practical...and hookers. Of course, go with a brothel...I mean....bed-n-breakfast!

Z370Z011 04-03-2013 05:04 PM

Maaaann.. Wish i 75k. I think this is a sign to get into poker lol.
Honestly id invest that money to make more money, which will eventually lead to me making my Z into a full blown track car and then buying a GTR. That is of course if i can successfully invest it :) or i can go broke trying to triple my money haha. Worth a shot.

If I won 75K (US), I would buy a GTR and to heck with the Z!

Brutal 370Z 04-03-2013 05:43 PM

Bank that ****!!!/invest in appreciating assets

pseftis 04-04-2013 01:28 AM

Well it's up to 100k now.. Almost enough for new gtr :)

For me, I would never pay off the House...At today's rates being 3.75%, you are borrowing the money for free after deductions...No paying the House..If you have one. Refinance NOW

A paid off house is illiquid and you can get a loan for 3.75% and you can make double that Investing. Some people need a paid off home...With Interest rates below 4%, it is a no brainer....Re finance, or buy a Home with only 20% down.

Second I would invest at least 30K to 50K in Dividend paying stocks and reinvest the dividends...At 7% it will double in 10 years...

Then just for fun, blow 10K to 15K on your car if you want. And bank the rest for unknown futures costs...

This.
