Put your money into a fixed asset like a home... Trust me I am the only one here on the board who went gonzo with the Z... I have over $20k+ in the body alone!!!
I look back on the project and honestly say I wish I would have done smaller mods and bought a house... Coming from Experience... be responsible!!! LOL |

even if you are married and all that even then, Life is short, go out and enjoy isay  |
mod the Z and invest or save the rest!

But by Investing I am able to retire early and do what I want...True life is short..That is why working is not something I do anymore... |
Get yourself some stock then make more money get a GTR and a new Vette
|
Personally I invest in rental properties... They make great retirement income! And a great tax write off!

If I had 75k I would hire GTM to design me a roots supercharger :)
And I would buy all the other normal goodies :) Or sell my Z and buy a GTR lol |
I would leave this site and go to a site that shows you how to make money and another web site for gamblers anonymous.

Keep Z, buy a used GT-R. duh! :)
|
buy one
|
Spend about $15k on modding the Z and invest the rest.
|
^^^ what he said.
GTR is awesome but why not FI your Z and shock others with a sleeper.. invest the rest make it back and then still buy the GTR if you change you mind. |
Definitely go for the home, you put a huge chunk down, get a low interest rate and then the interest you pay is another deduction on your taxes.
Then if you have some left play the market. Problem is if you put all 75k in the market you'll have to pay taxes on it plus whatever interest it made when you go to take it out. |
I like my Z, but if I won 75K I wouldn't own it for very long. I can think of several cars I would rather own for this price range!
|
Well the Z is how I like it now, so prolly save the 75k invest some of it into maintenance (oil changes etc)
Then again I do all my service myself, so I don’t think I would ever pay for routine maintenance, never have before, and never will. |
If you're looking at getting a used GTR, you might want to try auctions in Houston or Miami. A friend of mine said his freind is an auto dealer and saw '09 GTRs selling for about $35,000 to 40,000 with about 20,000 miles on them. A lot of those cars in those type of auctions were leased. That applies to Ferrari's and other exotics as well. That's definitely the route I plan on going when I get settled and plan on getting that ideal dream car down the road.

Go twin turbo, and awd conversion. Make it better than a GTR
|
Get a set of Volk wheels, CBE, HFCs, do some home improvement worth $30K, then put the rest down for a Ferrari 355.
|
... hmm 75,000 divided by 365 days, you can get a nice escort every day of the year at the Rate of $205 a day ... yes!
|
Take $20k, pimp your ride (tastefully please!)
Take $5k, buy a watch and pimp your wrist. Take $50k, invest and pimp your bank account. |
Have to agree with above.. and as far as what id buy for the Z.. brides, built motor, second set of wheels (20s) and a vinyl wrap!
|

And that was just 50g I could keep going if need be
|
I would get a used GTR, or some car thats under 75k. I understand the whole responsibility thing, but i put owning a dream car on a pretty high level. Youve already got savings, rainy day funds, and 401k's, gotta enjoy life. But thats just me
|
I actually never noticed how big the GT-R was until I saw it in a packed dealership.
The thing is huge! Like a boat. |

then I'd put it down on the upcoming Porsche GT-3. http://images.thecarconnection.com/l...00420735_l.jpg |

1) Buy home - First home so I can use my 401k as down (already doing this)
2) Pay off debt $55k 3) Use $10k to add NA/suspension mods and strip the car 4) Use $10k buy daily driver |
I don't even know if I would spend that much on a DD> I wouldn't sell the Z, especially if I had the funds to do other stuff. I wouldn't pour all my fresh earnings into it either. I would spend a little bit maybe 5-10K and invest the rest across a couple accounts. Let that money boil for a couple years and then do something else with it. Thats 75K. Thats a nice chunk of money. To drop that all off Cash on a car... nah... Not a smart move. Pay off debt?? Yes that is a great option.... as long as your still saving on top of that. Congrats on the money and hope it finds a nice home.....
If I was being a total bastard though... GTR! ;-) |
$15K would totally buff your Z into a supercharged awesome sauce dripping machine. I'd use the rest to improve my finances and home. (And pay off your car loan?)
Most of all, have fun. |
I saw rental....practical...and hookers. Of course, go with a brothel...I mean....bed-n-breakfast!
|
Maaaann.. Wish i 75k. I think this is a sign to get into poker lol.
Honestly id invest that money to make more money, which will eventually lead to me making my Z into a full blown track car and then buying a GTR. That is of course if i can successfully invest it :) or i can go broke trying to triple my money haha. Worth a shot. |
If I won 75K (US), I would buy a GTR and to heck with the Z!
|
Bank that ****!!!/invest in appreciating assets
|
Well it's up to 100k now.. Almost enough for new gtr :)
