The only time I have experienced fuel starvation is when I have wallet starvation!!!:shakes head:

Of course you are, or it is. The fuel pick up is in the same location on all the 370s and the fuel reserve pickup is the same in all car.

I know. All I'm saying is I have actually tried to cause the issue with no luck. I don't know?

True. Yea I'm not saying there seems to be an issue but I don't think its as bad or common as people make it out to be. I was 100% prepared to call a tow truck when my Z died but it never did. Gas light on flying around on and off ramps.

I regularly drive my Z 30-40 miles after the gas light comes on and have filled up 18.5 Gal of the 19.1 Gal more than once. I've never encountered this problem, but I understand it happens on long, sweeping right-hand turns generally more often at highway speeds.

I've seen people reported this problem when he was making a sharp turn on a local public road. But yes it happens when the fuel is low.

Probably should be driving a little slower if your low on fuel:rolleyes:, but hey hard to hold back in this car.

Truu with gas prices on the rise you are fcked. :roflpuke2:

....A lot of people (including myself) have had issue with the gas cap. It can make the Service Engine Soon light come on because it doesnt seal correctly. Just go to the auto store and buy yourself a new one. STANT brand will do.

...ohhh also just take out the fuse to disable your steering wheel lock. Many people have been stranded because it malfunctions causing the car to be unable to start. The fix is easy. Search the forum for instructions.

over all the car is pretty bullet proof. !!!!!!!!

This is what happens if you make long sweeping right turns with 1/4 tank

I think I have a picture somewhere of my car getting towed to the dealership for the steering lock.

I had the fuel starve happen to me today for the first time at 1/2 tank taking a looping right-hander at a pretty quick speed on regular streets. It bucked, cut power, all service lights came on. I was trying to remember all the knowledge I learned from this forum regarding this issue, but went blank. I coasted to a stop, turned off the car. Re-started it, fired right up, coughed again, and then was fine. Went on my merry way :driving:

I have had problems 1-4.

1 and 2 are the most expensive @ $1400 for #1 (assuming you do not do the correction and let it go out like i did) and #2 is goinfg to cost me about a grand for a new flywheel and clutch assembly (they csc are under warranty but since I bought my car used the clutch is slipping and needs replacing).

soooo.... #1 you can fix. #2 is a maybe. 3-4 you are just gonna have to deal with.

To add to above listing:

Rear "poppers" for hatch may stick -- there is a TSB, and will be covered under warranty (I need to get mine done).

Fuel gauge notorious for intermittently reading 1 or 2 ticks below "full" even when full (my '10 did this, my 11 has not, thus far...).

Be mindful of oil consumption -- there is a TSB for this as well, and if a certain threshold of loss is noted, Nissan will replace the longblock if within warranty.

Ongoing debate over need for an oil cooler -- in short, if you regularly see temps over 240* F during normal driving (or plan to track it), consider a cooler. Lots of threads on this topic.

There is also a thread on here with all TSB's as well as links to service manual
