Cloth seat wear
I'm wondering if anyone else is having problems with wear on their cloth seats? I have a 2013 with 6600 miles on it, black cloth seats. The crisscross end mesh center section is fuzzing already! This is unacceptable wear in my view. Anyone else have this issue? I'm thinking I need to go to Nissan and ask them to do something about it. Any experience out there having done this?
Thanks, Todd |
This is why I got leather and not cloth, but with the millage that you have this should not be happening so soon unless you get off and on more than twice a day.

Same thing happened to mine only 5500 hundred miles, no way I'm getting seat covers.

My car has around 1850 miles and I think my seats still look good as new. At first I would always just get in and I noticed I rub against the side bolsters. Now, I'm a bit more cautious in getting in and out. Side note: My steering wheel is 'fuzzing' a bit. It's not that noticeable, but it's there. |

Hopefully my seats don't start wearing. I'm almost to 3,000mi. I have noticed a small indentation on the door panel by the window where my elbow sits though. That's now bothering me to look at. :icon17: |

If you give it a week it comes back. Worse comes to worse make the door squeak. I have had the door panels on both cars replaced for that |

i prefer cloth to leather as leather generally cracks and wrinkles horribly with age |

I bought my z at 1960 miles and the seats were absolutely brand new condition. Since then now at 5700 have had seat covers.

I bought my car brand new in June of 2011, cloth interior. I've always been "OCD" about interior wear & tear, so I try to get in and out of the car as gently as possible. That being said, I still have managed to create a very tiny amount of wear on the outer edge of the left side of my driver seat as time goes on. It's just about impossible to avoid so I don't let it bother me too much. Plus, it's a seat; easy to just replace when the time comes. I'm more upset about the scratch on the bottom of my steering wheel. :(
