Will next Sunday's Top Gear be the one? (19 7 09)...

Probably not, knowing my luck, but here is the information on the BBC website for next Sunday's show...

"Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May seek petrolhead heaven in three 1500 pound rear-wheel drive coupes and somehow find themselves entered in a terrifying French ice race."

One of those cars COULD, just COULD be the 370Z, couldn't it? I bet it won't be :shakes head:

I'll do some searching to see what I can find - Fingers crossed!

1500 pounds? Is pound interchangeable with kilogram over there, because the Z does weigh around 1500kg.

CrownR426 07-12-2009 04:15 PM

I hope so, I want to see the Z ripping **** up!

Oh yeah - seems like I got my pounds and kilos muddled up (a kilo is over twice as heavy as a pound), so that's me stuffed then, isn't it! - no Z next week :shakes head:

Air-cooled beetles from the mid 60's weighted about 1,500 lbs.

gnarf 07-12-2009 04:55 PM

it is actually 1,500 Euro cars..not referring to weight

Great Britain is still on the pound monetary system: 1 pound = $1.62

I'm still confused. £1500 is only around $2400. What cars are that cheap?

JB1 07-12-2009 10:52 PM

Sounds like they searched eBay for some fun used cars, similar to EVO magazine's "grand challenge".

jpit 07-12-2009 10:59 PM

Usually the three are given a certain amount of money to buy some type of project car.
The coupes will be very old, in bad shape and will result in some very funny challenges.

At least I've helped to keep the anticpation levels high - maybe they won't review the Z at all!

Probably depends on your cable provider, but for me here in Seattle, they show a medley of Top Gear on Monday nights.

Hilarious, and sometimes informative, show.
