Coolant temperture.

Hi Friends, good morning,i noticed my car after warmed up,the coolant temperture is always on the 7th dot of the LED temperture gauge, despite driving high speed or traffic jams, hot day or cool nights,it is always at that position, anything wrong.?can anyone comfirm it.?Thanks

No, nothing's wrong. Is this the first car you've ever owned?

That LED will stay lit from 135 degrees to well over 200 degrees. (in other words, as a gauge, it's worthless except for extremes). YOur car will generally run between 185 and 200 degrees under most all conditions..

all cars do that, they stay at one point for a long range of temperatures.

im glad you guys said that, i just thought the car had a excellent water system that kept the meterin one spot at all times.

Actually it does....I monitor my actual water temps all the time with my Scangauge. The Z runs nice and cool...Usually around 182-185. The gauge is worthless, but the water cooling system is

Then Nissan should have save the money, put a warning light instead of a gauge, anyway, thanks for all the replies...

It's basically a linear idiot light.
