but the diff, brakes, cooling, ect. will all have to be upgraded anyhow though the nismo 370z is just a beast and if you are not looking for luxuries and want performance, i would get the nismo, if you are looking for luxuries like sat nav, heated seats, leather, ect. the touring/sport is the best way to go, but either way you cant go wrong when purchasing a Z |
Surprised so many people feel the SRM is rough, I love it, rarely turn it off. Its probably the reason I engine break lol. The downshifts are butter. Its really good for time attack as well..
Z clutch definitely takes some learning, but once you get it, its fine. More challenging to manipulate than other cars...it can make you feel like a newbie until you get it. |

Are you guys complaining the Z clutch being too soft or too stiff? Or the on/off switch kinda feeling?
|
IMO the pedal feels to soft OEM.......but many people have already said this and there's many threads on the issue

both...it's drivers preference on clutch feel. I'm use to mine feeling somewhat firm. As for the SRM, My Z does not have it so I wanted to do the test drive with it on. I do understand that it takes some getting use to if one is use to rev matching their self. |

Yeah the SRM takes little get used to. But I think it works great. It's a lazy feature for lazy people like me. Lol. |

i have noticed there isnt much feed back from the clutch but i thought that was because of the OEM clutch and not the spring |

Dude you guys want to feel pussy clutch.
Go into a frs and step on the clutch. The scions clutch is super soft and retarded. It feels like nothing. I thought the 370z was soft lol. The frs is on another level |
I do not understand why so much fuz about the clutch feel on the Z. I find it perfectly fine never had any issues with it nor have the desire to change the clutch spring to make it softer.
Try driving a GT3 and then lets talk about clutch feel at the end of the day you will have calf muscles as big as loaf of bread. |
gt3 clutch is fine to me. the gearbox feels pretty crappy though

i suppose if one's not driven too many other MT cars this might feel 'normal' to them, but atleast to me, it is not. that helper spring needs to be removed/replaced to feel like a real MT clutch. |
^Exactly. I actually didn't take the spring out until 2 years into it. I was perfectly fine with it(I just got used to it). But after I took it out, it was like finding an old friend. I instinctively remembered this was how it's suppose to feel like.
|
^^ So the helper spring will make the pedal feels harder?

Maybe I'm weird, I thought the spring mod made it feel like **** cause of the slop and free play up top. It made the clutch points more predictable so you know when it grabs but the ridiculous amount if pedal sloppiness turned me off. Basically I took it off, now I drive stock and completely forget how bad I use to think it was. I got use to it, it takes time The sti clutch is so much better, I had a 2005 |

take it out and see. it's an easy 2min job. all you need is 2 functional hands, one needle nosed pliers, and maybe a flashlight. |

I had a 2010 sport/touring 7at and it was a nice car but now I have a 2013 Nismo and this car has been everything I need in a car, plus I put the same super charger on this car that I had on the 2010 and my Nismo made 66 rwhp more.
It's pretty hard not to like a Nismo  |

this actually made me like the nismo. The darker rims set it off so nice. |

Considering I think my car makes the lowest WHP of any full bolt on and tuned 370Z I've ever seen... I'm not holding my breath haha. My tq is generally 10lbft off from everyone else making similar power.
