2009 Stock Z

In a few days, we will have had our 2009 stock coupe for 3 years. Purchased it new 1/2/10. Currently have around 5500 miles on it. Other than collecting a few scratches, all we have done is change the oil and filter every 6 months.

Projects I see for the next couple of months, new batteries in the key fobs, by pass for the steering wheel lock. We don't project any mods since we want to keep it stock.

It came with upgraded rearview mirror, bluetooth, XM radio and sound package, heated seats.

Currently, have not had any issues requiring a visit to the dealership.

In before the "you need to X to your car". Glad to see a current Z that may be around, in almost mint condition, as the older Z's seen at the meets.

Ok you barely drove your z in the last 3 years? Cool story

Heh. I bet he even saw those skid marks in a parking lot on the drive home and parked the car 'just right' and snapped his profile pic. :icon23:

Nice to see you're enjoying it with no issues. I had mine for 3 years and also had zero problems.

PapoZalsa 12-30-2012 11:05 AM

I had a few issues with my 09 with 10K miles but they had been resolved by the dealer.

kidkotic2001 12-30-2012 12:44 PM

I know....like a person taking a vow of celibacy....Maybe he was in a coma for 2 and a half years...lol

/serious restraint not to spend every waking moment wanting to drive the Z. :eekdance:

Z-Girl 12 12-30-2012 06:48 PM

Now that is alot of self control.

Guys, the "Z" is a weekender. Never rolls in rain or snow. Tried that the 1st winter, found out it likes to pretend it is a snow plow. The car stays in a heated/AC garage.

Never had any intensions to make any modifications. We like it the way it is. As for the exhaust, I like em quiet. See me before you hear me.

With the changes that are being made to the "Z" every year, believe that the stock 09 370 coupe (with MT) will be a desired "gotta have one" in the future. We should be able to get our original investiment plus.

Why the 09 mt over any other z? I mean won't they all appreciate the same?

A new z will just make your car worth less and the only way you will sell it for the price you want is finding a niche car market buyer.

Cars are a lousy investment to try to make money on.:twocents:

I purchased my 370 in April of '09 - it's my DD and I've almost got 25K miles on it. The only problems I've had were the rear hatch spring issue and defective fuel level sending units. No problems in the last couple of years.

Just my opinion. I double checked the mileage on it. Actual, it's 5054.

Mt Tam I am 01-01-2013 09:10 AM

OP: Did you pull the steering lock fuse?

Um... What?

I don't know man. I'm the type of person who would put 100k on a Ferrari. Fun cars are fun to drive, not just look at.

USINC97 01-01-2013 02:18 PM

To each his own. Mt Tam - No I will be ordering the bypass kit and will put in in later this month.
